Electricity In Dubai?

Can anyone confirm that the electricity in Dubai is 220v, and that the plugs are the same as UK ie 3 pin? Thank you.

hello all, chilly here too. We had a “difficult” morning but the weather has now abated, at least for a while so I hope to get a shower in a minute.

feeling gloomy, took the car to Tesco's last night and it was awful - stop at the lights and sometimes it would take off straight away, other times just sit there 2-3 seconds. Just what I want when I'm stuck in the middle of an intersection. Don't tell me I've paid thousands for a lemon.

Put the electric blanket on the bed last night as we were both shivery but actually we both got too hot in the night so it may have to come off again for a week or two. Wasn't someone promising a heatwave this week?

Hija has a nice room in Dubai, it has a huge window overlooking a motorway and not a tree in sight. I bought her new bedding but it's a double bed so she has to buy more. I have nothing to do now at home.

Come round here Neti ,I can find you plenty to do .
It's cold and raining and I'm tempted to put the heating and a libby bodice on.Few claps of thunder just now .
It's supposed to be nice for a week or so from tomorrow .Not blazing hot but pleasant.I think because it was sooo hot recently this drop in temps has come as a bit of a shock.
Hope you're all Ok though and cars and dogs are behaving now.

Oh dear.....I bet Jno jnr isn’t dancing either have you told him to go and think about what he has done?.....I am showered and in clean clothes which wasn’t physically possible yesterday and have slathered my back in volterol and poured myself a sherry. The world may not be ending yet :) The heating is on for the first time this year. I am also waiting for Ocado because I ran out of tortoise food.

no, just scraped. Yesterday it was pristine. Now it's not. Plus it's dangerous. Plus it cost a lot of money. I'm quite depressed about it all.

Morning all. Don't think the warranty will cover children smashing up parents cars shaney! Maybe jno jnr's insurance will pay, if it's worth it.
Sleep so well again last night, now hija has gone and Mousey has the run of the house as to where she wants to sleep, peace perfect peace.
Just having another quiet day here, I'm hoping for Burger King for lunch, ( yes I know, I know how to live!) It's what I fancy, don't want a big meaty lunch!

It certainly poured with rain here yesterday afternoon, we had a thunder storm. I've given in and had the heating on this morning but hopefully it's going to be a bit milder again this week. Lovely sun & blue skies at the moment.

It was lovely blue skies here until about half an hour ago and all of a sudden it hammered down .Mad dash out to the whirly but luckily everything nearly dry.Rain was NOT forecast .
Thank you Accu ,I now look like a drowned rat.
I thought Jno said the car was playing up anyway Neti apart from the scrape.
The rain has turned it chilly now so heating on here .S-d the expense,it's ding dinners all round too :)

We had a lively walk all round Ibiza marina, had a beer at the Formentera ferry stop, it was €3.50 for one beer, Mr N was not pleased!! Still very hot. Saw a couple of beautiful yachts, even one I would cruise on.ha! Has to wait ages in Burger King for the order to arrive, so long so that I went to the counter and said No more orders until you clear this backlog. Well Mr N pretended he wasn't with me but the order soon came. And the chips were delicious!
