friends of mine went about 8 yrs ago, said it was great,worth the cost, you sight see during the day and the train travels at night, you have your own butler per carriage,couldnt get any tonic water for their drink mixer though in very short supply and they said by day 5 the sight seeing became much of a much muchness as every fort they visited was the same as the one before.Rather stuffy, stuck up travelling companions they said, there were four in each carriage, the couple I knew, a lady prison governor and a bishop on holiday, didnt exactly get in "the mood".
After that they took the optional trip to Nepal which they liked better.
