funny fruit

I bought this fruit from Tesco the other day, because I had never heard of it. It's a "mangostana" and it is LOVELY! kind of tastes slightly like rhubarb. Only thing is whenyou cut it in half and scoop out the middle it comes out and look exactly like a little brain rofl So, as I said that to my son "hey, do you want some cat brains?" he now wont eat it lol
Has anyone else tried it, or can you recommend any other unusual fruits?

don't know if they are unusual but i love lychees as kids we used say we were eating eyeballs, passion fruit can also look a bit odd when you open them but they are so sweet and sour brill taste sensation

ha ha YUK! I will never eat a lychee again! We bought something called a dragon fruit the other day. Its the most ufly, bizarre looking fruit ever. When you cut it open it has a white flesh with loads of tiny black pips in it. Tasted nice though

HI mycats - you have to try ackee - scrambled egg from a tree.........brilliant!

Get it tinned in the UK - worth a try if you haven't had it already.
