Verrucas
Just wondering...?
I have what i think is a verucca on the bottom of my big toe. I'm a female and have started playing football again after a few years out with injury to my knee. Anyway, when i took my boot off (after about 1 hour of football in blade style boots) there was an extremely large amount of blood over my sock and inmy boot - which seems to have come from the verruca... anyone know if this is normal??
Appreciate any help or advice.
Thanks

I mean i was playing for a long time, and in new boots - so i orignally suspected that maybe it was just the friction... Didnt feel any pain during or after football, only noticed when i took my boot off at home.
Is it normal to get a haematoma on the bottom of your toe though? Dont know much about them.
Just had a look onthe NHS website now. Can't really see anything about veruccas bleeding.
Although it does say "Verrucas often have a black dot in the centre, surrounded by a hard, white area. The dot is the blood supply to the wart" - so maybe the friction has caused some damage there.
Well i'm playin football again this evening, if it happens again to the same extent - i'll start to worry.
Well i dont think i have the stomach to pick at mine, but i think i'll try some of that 'bazuka verruca' gel. If that doesn't work then i'll have to resort to the doctors.
If anyone else has had heavy bleeding from a verucca let me know what u done and why it happened. thanks.
Appreciate the help so far.
But i can't stand going to my GP - just find they're useless and always feel like i'm wasting their time when i go because i'm dying....
Anyway, played footy last night and it didn't bleed. However, there are black things inside and around the suspected 'verruca'. I think these must be blood vessels..
