Yes I would like to say that that Guardian article is a pile of disingenuous nonsense. By the writer's own admission many of those bombs were dropped in wars against IS, many more were targetted asssassinations. I have no doubt that there were errors and collateral casualties and some of those may well be hard to justify. The implication, that there thousands of mass murders by some blood-lusting ruler, is just daft. Was Donald Trump delected on a ticket to put an end to it? No, he was not, indeed if his rhetoric is anything to go by he'd be even "worse". Trump would tear up the agreement with Iran, sabre-rattle at the Chinese and apparently not hesitate to use nuclear weapons against IS. So, you know, perhaps a legacy of getting us through 8 years with the reputation of the leader of the free world largely intact in the civilised world, is not such a bad thing :-)
