throws money at things like nothing on earth.

Was over during the week when Window-cleaning man came to the door for payment, FIL gave me a tenner to pay the guy and was most annoyed with me when I returned with change.

The fee was £3, did give the guy a tip tho, but between me not liking the window-cleaner and thinking he would/could happily rip people off, I ain't happy.

Any suggestions on how to handle the situation?

Should I be at FIL's everytime I see window-cleaner about?

Do the window cleaners use the modern hose and have water tanks in the van or do they still use ladders clean the windows by hand. ?The method could determine the price.
£3?? Can I have the window-cleaner's phone number??
Could be andres, mine does it the 'old fashioned' way ..
If F.I.L has mental capacity in respect of his finances there isn't a lot you can do apart from having a friendly word with him.
I'd make sure he always had a few fivers, that way window cleaner gets a decent tip.
Blimey. I live in London ( not the posh bit) and mines £12 for average semi, 9 Windows.
I'm London , Terrace and £12 for 8 windows, a porch and patio doors.
My windows work without cleaning.

But that reminds me, I must find out where someone has written "toilet" in bird language on my car windscreen.

I say allegedly cos of the number of streak he's left, there are better local companies, must have a word tomorrow with SIL about this.
I had my 2 bed bungalow windows, + window frames + inside of patio + front doors & ledges cleaned today.

Father & Son, £10.00.

have no idea if FIL gets a discount regarding his age, he's in a one bed ground floor flat.
Maybe it's just I don't like the window cleaner, have heard him being rude to my 90 years old neighbour some time ago.
£4.50 per fortnight. Window cleaner does 6 windows.

Had word with Financial SIL yesterday, she's going to get window-cleaner to call at hers for payment.
She wondered why he was going through more cash than usual.
