Had what I thought was a polyanthus in a pot which was definitely not thriving. Lifted it and transplanted into the garden with some good compost. Now have a foxglove over a foot high. Isn't nature wonderful.

The foxgloves will seed, everlasting foxgloves, but they are biennial so you probably won't have any next year

Lucky you. Nature didn't want foxgloves in my garden :-(

Life is full of surprises, hope it was a good one! A lot of my plants are dugout from cracks in the pavement.

I LOVE foxgloves, my favourite wild flower. Saw a beautiful peach coloured one once growing in the wild (about 10 years ago). Never seen one since.

I remember, someone who had been trying everything to try to get their blueberry to bear fruit.
To cut a long story short, they had been trying to get a self-seeded goat willow to harvest some blueberries, which had taken over the pot. The original plant had long since died off.
