dave: "When we joined I thought we would pay EU prices for such stuff here in the UK. It never happened - we still pay more! Wonder why that was. " - UK has more internal duty on booze that many of the EUSSR countries. Brexit hasn't changed that, it was always possible to go to a French hypermarket for a van load of plonk, for your own use of course. But now of course it has to be imported and of course with the EUSSR being as awkward as possible we reciprocate by slapping import duty on top, thus it's no saving, that's what Hymie is upset about. When the French and wider EUSSR wake up and realise that anything they can do we can do they'll start getting sensible and who knows we, as one of their best customers, can do a deal and Hymie can once again get his French wares at a sensible price.
