Why do we get constantly slated for watching things like BB and X fator? For me its just harmless fun. People often comment programmes like this are for brainless idiots. Im certainly not brainless, the complete opposite infact. I dont degrade people for watching things I dont like, so why do it to us??

I have no idea kissyfur, i think its a type of 'tv snobbery', but to hell with em i'll watch what i want! i love people watching and the x factor is just insane how do these people delude themselves into thinking they are good?

hi kissyfur and mcfluff....i'm with you two. i'm definately not brainless either, but i like watching these programmes as a way to unwind...i dont see any harm in it at all. there are far worse programmes on TV!!!

I love it too! Nout better than gettin ready for a night out, having a few drinks and then watchin insane people make prats of themselves.Oh the shame.

Yeh! Its completely up to you wat u want to watch! I agree with Mccfluff, its complete snobbery! Its like I dont watch football and dont see to much point in it but half the population sit on their backsides watching it all day - if thats not wrong then neither is the shows we like i.e big bro and x factor

X factor is different to BB, on X factor they need talent or at least they need to have the guts to give it a go, on BB they just need an ego.

I agree with you, I'm not brainless either, TV like this gives us chance to escape and gives us something to laugh at and I know for a fact laughing is good for the soul

I shouldn't let it worry you, I don't! X Factor will probably be rigged the same as BB, so don't waste your money voting!
Having watched and voted for BB and seen the farce at the end when clearly the production team had set up extra videos of certain people with captions and trailors, what would they hve done if they had come out first?? A big fix -and I expect X factor will be too. Its a shame because they are good programmes and allow the normal (well mostly) person to become a start for short while.

There is always another channel or the off button for those who dislike these kind of programmes, perhaps these people should start using those instead of wasting their breath complaining about the rest of us!
I find that those of my friends who complain about BB and the like have never really watched it and so don't understand the pull of this kind of programme.
I hate football by the way, but certainly would never complain or call other people brainless for watching it!
