Self blame doesn't help, but you may have elements of depression, and lots of people are still very anxious about covid. I wonder if a chat with your doctor might help. A short course of counselling might help, along with maybe just doing some voluntary work for a few months. It will put something useful on your CV, and get you back into the routine with less pressure. Next would be to think about it you need more training or updating to make you more employable. I am sure your brother would release money to pay course fees.
Most importantly find a job you enjoy doing, then laziness won't be a problem because you will want to go to work.
