I have a free month promotion, what's worth watching?

I'm not keen on American dramas nor films from anywhere.

Clarkson's Farm is great I think, even if you don't particularly like him, very funny in parts

Oops posted too soon. It's also informative about life on a farm with some great characters. I got really hooked on it, just finished the third series

American Horror Story

Question Author

Thanks, Margo, I'll give that ago.

I did read somewhere that it gives a realistic depiction of farming

Have you seen 'One Life' with Anthony Hopkins. You have to pay for it though. It's about a man who saved a lot of children just before the war.

Question Author

I shall be watching that, thanks, Helly

Mad Men (American series)

The Boys (be warned - EXTREMELY violent)

Fargo, season five (you don't need to have watched the first four seasons to enjoy this one as each season is self-contained and don't relate to each other).

Sneaky Pete (American crime drama - series)

The Thick of It (British political thriller - series)

Train to Busan (Korean thriller - film)

Jim Gaffigan - Dark Pale (stand up show)

Question Author

I did see The Thick Of It starring Chris Langham on the BBC some years ago, is that the same series?

I did try Fargo when it was on C4 but it's not my cup of tea.

Thanks for all the suggestions, folks. Much appreciated

good omens

fleabag

Question Author

I've seen Fleabag and Good Omens.

Good Omens 2

All series of Clarksons Farm

I'm another backer of Clarkson's Farm, all 3 series. I envy you seeing them for the first time.  They get better and better imo.

Question Author

Thanks for all your replies but I won't be watching anything on Prime - I didn't know there would be adverts

I like Reacher , think its worth a watch, its not far removed from the books

Barry please don't deprive yourself of watching Clarksons Farm for the sake of a few ads which are quite brief. I detest ads and skip over them, but they didn't bother me at all in this instance. At least watch one episode and see how it goes

it's a good excuse for a cuppa too!

Re the ads, think Prime are just being awkward here as all the ads we see are for their own programmes

The Grand Tour.  The old boys of Top Gear get together for a really amusing motoring programme.

Question Author

The one I saw was for a £299 aura ring at John Lewis

I doubt anyone actually likes the ads, but I'd never deprive myself of watching something worthwhile just because it has ads, Barry.
As bednobs says, go and make a cuppa or something, or have a chat with those you're watching with. Not worth missing out on something really good just because of a few ads...is it?
