Shyness

I am an incredibly shy person when I meet people.  They always say I am a lovely person BUT a very quiet person. I hate the BUT.  Women like men who are confident - I don't have any particular reason not be confident, so what is the best cure for shyness?

I am 29 and my shyness has got to a point, where I have avoided parties, social occasions and even school plays that my children are involved in. I think if it gets to the stage that you feel unhappy with your level of shyness, something needs to be done. I am now pushing myself to get out there in the front line LOL. Im attending a life changing skills course soon. So I will keep you posted to see if this will improve my communication skills and my shyness. (WISH ME LUCK)
