with all health supplements like pills and powders, because they are in a quick realise form. Do you lose alot there "goodness" via urination before they can actually work?

Probably!!! i think too much emphasis is put on supplements. If a person eats a good varied diet, there's no need for these things anyway. Seems like a money-making racket to me.
The packaging methods used for health supplements no matter what form they take, differ little from those manufacturing methods applicable to conventional medication.

As a result, "Quick Release" health supplements are treated no differently by the body than conventional medication designed to be released in this manner.

As far as loss of efficacy or "goodness" is concerned, it should be remembered that loss of efficacy does not necessarily occur through the urinary tract. Urinary tract loss only occurs after filtration via the kidneys, but much of this type of medication can be absorbed by the body directly from the intestine which effectively bypasses this route of disposal (at least until the body processes the by-products of these supplements).

As a result, it's not correct to condemn quick release preparations on this pretext alone.

xerus, could I ask you if you had a need to take these, or were you perfectly healthy before and somehow felt an extra benefit from these additives?
I happen to share Ice.Maiden's view that if you eat wisely, health supplements are mostly an unnecessary rip-off but am always interested to hear other's opinion.
