People are prone to cherry pick evidence for everything from religion to science.
It's human nature.
Take Herodotus, according to him it was the Greeks who invented homosexuality as "it was they who taught the Persians how to have sex with young boys", was he right?
Were there really no gays in Persia prior to the Greek invasion?
So what else could he be wrong about?
The oracle's prediction of Cyrus?
If you doubt his accuracy on one matter should you question it for everything?
He is a principle source for the ancient world and much of what he wrote about was many years before he was born, Arion and the dolphin real or fairy tale?
What Theland is touching on is the hostility towards Christianity in relation to other (trendier?) faiths like Buddhism or Hinduism, which according to the visionary Peaches Geldof is a pretty "cool" religion.
I too would like to see more people question the need to have a cow in the room of a dying relative, not because I seek to pour scorn on Hindus merely because I'd like to see the people of no faith express their disbelief evenly.
Take the Dalai Lama, when he ruled in Tibet he was a total tw@t, yet liberals speak romantically and passionately for the restoration of his theocracy.
