Problems with o2 Broadband

I have recently set up the above on pay as you go. My coverage is great according to the site and I get a speed of 3.6 Mbps which according to them is the top speed...
However after an hour or so online pages stop loading and I have to disconnect and reconnect. Also I am not able to watch any video clips at all
My lap top has very little memory left...is this anything to do with my problems??

Sometimes it won't load the page up and I have to disconnect/reconnect a few times before it will and then once it is connected it is hit and miss as sometimes it will close down the internet. It's a right pain in the bum!! I spoke to Vodafone and they said to take usb stick out take sim card out and put back in again and try again and it worked when I was on the phone but it doesn't always work now. My laptop is also very low on memory so perhaps this is the problem?
