bowness o windermere

I am going to bowness at weekend

and it looks like rain

any ideas what to see and where to go

also any nice resteraunts cafes etc

The Railway Museum

Bowness is quite small but you can get the boat trips there, depending on how much it's raining as to view, where you can sit downstairs.

They go up to Ambleside where there look like some lovely eating places and down to Lakeside where there is a little aquarium (won't take that long to go round though) and an old steam railway which cold be worth a trip on if it's raining.
