Refunds and the law
13 Answers
I purchased 2 exhibition tickets (e tickets) for a make up show this weekend.
Unfortunately to a family bereavement I am unable to go. I emailed the company (make up mag) to advise them of the situation and asked about a possible refund.
They emailed me back and said they were unable to offer a refund. I have paid over £120 for these 2 tickets now and cannot be left out of pocket.
This has left me feeling very sad and stressed the fact of a tragic situation has also left me financially out of pocket when this company are going to be gaining me money.
Has anyone got any advice on what to do next? Heres the site if anyone wants to have a look over www.imatsshow.com/london/london_faq.php

sorry about your loss pinkchick,
and sorry you werent able to sell the tickets on.
the company are just sticking to their terms and conditions, and even though we know your reason is genuine for not being able to go, i bet they get a few people telling porkies, offering that same 'story', if theyve been unable to attend or changed their minds, in hope a refund will be granted...
