PREGNANT AT 50!!!
I have just had the misfortune to find myself pregnat at 50.
I thought I was going my menopause for the last 3 years.
Been taking natural supplements an everything to help with the sweats and all that.
Was even using condoms..
I just didn't think it possible.
Anyone else ever gone through this?

I've put on a bit of weight but put it down to middle age spread. Movement can start around 12 wks.
Obviously things were happening with my body, but I thought it was the menopause. Until I felt the movement and everything changed obviously, the way I think and feel. there's no denying th fact. The test has been bypassed because the clnic lady knows where I'm at. They are the experts.

Hi lellibet. Go ahead and do what you feel's right for you. My mother was pregnant naturally at 52, and again at 55! She lost the first, and thought that when her periods stopped the second time, it was definitely due to the menopause.
She'd sailed through previous pregnancies, but felt ill with the last one, so had a pregnancy test when her sickliness continued. She almost had a heart attack when she was given the news, and felt that she couldn't possibly bring a child into the world at that age.
The termination was early, and carried out chemically (tablets). Although there's always been a tinge of regret, she feels that what she did was appropriate under the circumstances.
The only person who can decide, is yourself. Best of luck with your decision.

i hope you got sorted or have made a decision. while i don't personally agree with termination in this kind of situation i can understand it. i myself am unexpectidley pregnant though at 35 and im in an at risk catagory. after 5 children with no illness as such i am really suffering this time and knowing the baby may not find his way out now worries me as im 6mths. if you do decide to give birth no matter what you do after please never tell the baby you didnt want them. my mom was 40 when i was born didnt want a child and as told eventually that she was having twin boys, with no boy n all her family having both she was okat with this but i came along a lone girl. she told me at 7yrs old that i was unwanted by her and that has caused m no end of issues since. good luck whatever you decide.
