Perhaps there should be a separate category, accessible only on request, where posters can insult and swear at each other to their heart's content without risk of upsetting anyone else or getting a whole thread shut down? You know - if you don't like it, stay out?

Glad to see the stirring club is in full swing.

It's sunny! Cheer up everyone!
It was quite funny actually snags, we all had a good laugh about it.
You know what I meant Ed....

And I am cheered up....I've just done my sons paper round...!! That's my good deed for the day...

That's not a bad idea Saxy. Alternatively, everyone could just try to GROW UP a bit.
Unfortunately there are some grown-up ABers who enjoy posting personal abuse and causing a stir. They see it as entertainment.

The Ed wants the site to be enjoyable for all. By removing threads/posts or suspending offenders, they will eventually get the message that their behaviour won't be tolerated on AB.

Anyways Ed.....if we can't have a guided tour, how about a Docspock-style clip of AB Towers? With a voice-over, just like the Doc's, of course. :o)
this is a terrible idea, do you think the people concerned would refrain from making caustic remarks to each other because they were both posting in a different topic area??

suspension works fine, a week on the naughty step is adequete, maybe those smartarse comments wont be worth a week long ban next time ..
I refrain from positively commenting for fear of being suspended for fully expressing my outrage at the suggestion.

Ron.
