Being stupid here but can someone please tell me the difference between the Diamond Jubilee (last year) and this years 60th Coronation anniversary ?

The Queen's accession to the throne was 1952.

The Queen's Coronation was 1953.
If I remember rightly the Elizabeth came to the throne in 1952 but the actual coronation ceremony didn't gapen til a year later.
Very good question feebee. I think last years celebration was when the Queen actually became Queen in 1952 on the death of her father, and this year is the anniversary of the actual official Coronation ceremony.
