This New Computer Virus Problem

I have Kaspersky as my anti-virus protection. Is there anything else I need to do about this new threat ?

I am not sure what is going on here. I can't find my Kaspersky on the PC !
I have looked under "all programs", found the entry but can't open the program. What is going on ? MY OS is Vista.

Ignore the second entry here...Kaspersky is now OK and working.

But what about this new super-botnet ?

Botnets come and botnets go. I figure if this one is well known enough to have been made public knowledge then the AV suppliers probably have the measure of it. It's the ones not on the news-sites you need to worry about ;-)

mikey...in a recent Computeractive evaluation of security software, Kaspersky Internet Security 2014 was the best-performing package available....so relax. You can't do much more!
