iPhone query

I have an iPhone 3G 8GB, which I've had for about 15 months. I've recently noticed that if I use the phone for calls whilst it is plugged in I get nasty electric shocks to my face. Is this normal?

I was around when tele first came out

Hard to believe I know..PMSL but there was some great stuff on then and even into the 80/90s I can remember our house being full to bursting as we had a tele, people came to watch the Coronation good...
