stepping stones [part 2]

As the stones [see earlier post] have sunk unevenly into the grass, I'll need to lift them and re-lay them. Would well compacted sharp sand be best to bed them in on? Think I used sifted garden soil...

gardner wants to lay turf on existing path made of paving slabs, but will put topsoil on the top of the slabs etc to level the garden out, is this correct? Also how long does turf last when delivered...

Killing invasive bulbs?

I have a number of weeds and blue bells which are becoming invasive. They grow from bulbs and I can't dig out the bulbs because they are deep and entangled with the roots of shrubs and other plants....

palm tree
