MP3 connection to Ford 6000 CD model stereo

Kenwood cd changer problem

I'm trying to connect my cd changer to my head unit which is all fine, but when I select the changer to listen to a cd the display reads 'disc ch' as if its about to play a cd then it reads 'EXT AUX'...
