are socket a and 462 the same ie does a socket a cpu fit in both and vice versa

new motherboard driver

i have just installed a 2nd hand syntax sv266a motherboard which came without a driver. i installed it and the 2 gig cpu shows as a 1300mhz. ( yes i did check the cpu). it still shows my old board...

Reinstalling WindowsXP Home Edition

I have to reinstall WindowsXp. It tells me to restart my computer, boot from the reinstallation CD and follow the instructions. What does Boot from the CD mean? Thanks

phone disconnects my broadband

when the phone rings it disconnects my broadband internet connection.i know i can change something to prevent this but cannot remember what.any ideas?

i am buyimg a tft monitor and have been told i need at least one with a 16 ms responce time or faster for gaming.as i don't know what ms stands for, which is faster 16ms or 30 ms  ....
