Afternoon,

It seems a few users have lost a question/answer today for some reason.

Could you let me know the OS, browser and the circumstances which lead up to losing the question (as best you can remember that is)?

TIA.

No, still needs 2 reloads
Yeah! welcome back L-i-K ☺
L-i-E.....How are things now.? I hope you have re-established your 'Auto Log-in. Incidentally, I have an icon on my desktop for quick entry into AB...No need for me to enter a username or password.....Straight through to my 'Profile' page.

Ron.
Sorry L-i-K....Typo error with my abbreviation of your username.

Obviously I am failing mentally...Didn't even realise that this thread is now on page 2 and that you still are having problems.

Are you able to revert to your earlier edition of FF and see if that put's matters right?. It's just a thought...However, bear in mind that my technical knowledge is very very limited.

Ron.

Ron.
Thanks Ron, but someone said elsewhere yesterday that they were using FF 12 with no problems...

Yes, the auto log-in works fine, I cleared it in error...

I don't know about reverting either, but will put up with it for now & hope Ed comes back here when he's finished playing with his new toy :-)
I have now installed FF 12 and am posting to see if I experience any problem with it.

Ron.
No problems using IE9, maybe these other Browsers are not as good as what some people make them out to be....
I have to refresh to see mine and other replies after posting an answer.
Like that, just then. No problems with other sites though.
Strange that some folk are having problems and, although I am now operating on FF 12, everything appears to be OK. In fact I would go so far as to say that my comp now seems faster in operation when changing pages.

I hope that my reports are helpful for the Ed to put his finger on the difficulties which prevail.

Ron.
After all which I have said, my last post needed a re-load to get through.

Ron.
I posted the following yesterday but the same situation remains today.

On AnswerBank, after submitting a comment it does not appear until I refresh the page. And after unsubscribing to a thread I have to refresh the page for it to take effect.
I am now posting wih my 'back-up' browser IE 9 to test matters, further; because on FF12 I am now getting all the problems which sir.prize is encountering.

Will post again to let you know what happens after I have hit the 'submit' button.

Ron.
No problems with IE9.....Have cleared FF12 and reverted to FF11 to see what happens.

Needless to say, I shall have to post again with my results.

Sorry Ed....if I am being a nuisance.

Ron.
Ron - I'll be interested in your findings using FF11 - keep us posted.
IE9 and FF11 are working OK.

My opinion is that there is a problem with FF12.

What say you Ed?.

Ron.
Whilst waiting for the Ed to comment, I though it might assist his deliberations if I were to have a little test, using Google Chrome; which I also have available as a further browser in my computer.

Here goes...Ron
No problems detected with Google Chrome......Posting was free of any complication and 'subscribe/unsubscribe' buttons worked immediately.

Ron.
Ron. This seems to point the problem directly at FF12 and not at AB. Did you uninstall FF12 and replace it with FF11?
sir.prize....Yes..... I have a number of downloaded files for FF( back as far as 5.0 ) and deleted 12 prior to re-loading 11.

The real Techies within AB may not feel that my approach is somewhat unusual; but it does appear to work. I take the view that any download which is removed can always be replaced.

Perhaps one of the experts will read this thread and comment accordingly.

Ron.
