chicken police
510 Answers
Afternoon, animal lovers. I don't have any animals anymore but lov'em and often watch all sorts of animal clips on YouTube. This one featuring the chicken police really intrigued me - is there anyone among you that could come up with a theory as to why two fighting rabbits should annoy the roosters to such a degree??
The second video is just a bonus for you cat lovers, no question attached, although if any of you have your own little roomba driver at home, do tell!

Welcome back Dolly and a Happy new Year to you too. Sorry to hear you've been feeling low, I think depression's like going down the plughole - you whirl round & round & either manage to hold onto the grid or you vanish down into the dark & have to work hard to get out again. A bit like those spiders that neti washes away.
Well here's a first, I might be able to help neti....yes, really, so stop making that face....
When you've snipped & taken your finger off the mouse it should open in a little box, it might take a second or two. Click File, top left & it'll say 'save as'. Choose where you want it, I save mine to pictures. Then you post it on here, as Kit said, via tinypic or suchlike.
Well done Jude!...what with you & your snippers & woofy with two racks of knives it's getting a bit scary in here.
No! Vinny! You don't wear the....<ducks>

Hi all actually been for another walk today as it stopped raining for a little while but it's still a miserable looking day.
Hi Neti when I did browse on tiny pic it just came up documents and I saw it on there. Like Robi says you have to save it on file in the little box. It took me ages to fathom it out so you're not on your own.
Hello Dolly great to see you back and I hope you have a better New Year. I think we all get a depression of a kind every now and again but some more than most and I feel for you. Anyway you take care and keep in touch.
Derby are playing this afto so if you hear a moaning sound coming from the Derby area you'll know what it is but I've decided not to give up on them. A real couch fan. That's me.
Can't stop sneezing today. Hope I'm not sickening for something.
Off for a late lunch see yer later 'gater(s)

no no no, there's no little box saying "save" or anything, the red circle just disappears!! :-(
Has anyone read "Behind Closed doors" by Jenny Tomlin? I love hard up chldhood stories like Angela's Ashes, but this is so bad, it's supposedly a true story and it is revolting, I didn't know such abuse actually went on, it's compelling reading but not sure if I want to finish it. I fear I do look at the world through rose tinted glasses, and we saw enough neglect here when I was a teacher, makes me wonder what really went on, but all my kids were happy and healithy minded as far as i could tell.

Right Neti. I click on snipping tool and a little square comes up on the screen and you can click on New there is a little arrow at the side that you can choose what cut you want to make (I did free cut) Then when you have done the shape you wantif you wait a second another bigger square comes up and you can click on file and then save as. When you've saved it go into tiny pic and browse (or what I did at first was look in documents and pictures to see if I could find it which I did) and save download and direct. After that I just went into the biddies post an answer then pasted and it appears like a link. That's the best way I can explain it. Kit is the expert. She may come back and give you easier instructions than me. Hope that helps.
Right. First of all, I'm not sure we're all talking about the same thing, cos jno you're talking about that Snippy application aren't you and Jude and I and Robi are talking about the snipping tool in Vista and god only knows what Neti is talking about =:o >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
...he he... ;-) ...but Neti if you ARE talking about the Vista snipping tool? you must tell it whether or not you wish for the cutting outline or whatchamacallit to remain visible after you're done cutting. When you start up the snipping tool and the semi-transparent milky skin floats out all over the screen, there *should* be a tiny box popping up where you'll see the word Alternatives (mine's in Swedish but I think that's it). Click it and make your choices there. Make sure you've also ticked the box Yes I want to be asked whether or not I wish to save the capture.
After you've captured the image of your choice, there's still a number of ways to fool around with it before you save it, have a look in the toolbar (the toolbar of the snipping tool) for ordinary pens and highlighting pens - they come in handy if for instance you spot something funny on the AB and you wish to show it to us http://i45.tinypic.com/2yz0byp.jpg (ha ha ha ha ha jno that was so funny:) BTW Neti I'm on Firefox too. Good luck! I'm afraid I need to leave cyberspace for the evening but if there's anything else I'll answer it, if I can, during the wee hours of the night (does that mean when you have to get up to go to the loo, ha ha ha!)
I love Sade's new release, Soldier of Love, "I've lost the use of my heart", isn't that a brilliant line... http://www.sade.com/

yes, I have a... an application (isn't that something you rub on chilblains?) - I don't have Vista, only Windows XP, so I don't have one built in; so I downloaded one. When I snip something either by drawing a wobbly freehand line round it or using the shift key as well and dragging a rectangle round it, it has the effect of control+c - that is, it copies something onto my mythical clipboard. Then if I create a Word page and press control+v, it copies what I have snipped.
What you get if you skip Vista and get Windows 7 or whatever it is, I couldn't say as I am stuck in the past.
neti, was that Mr V's thread? I thought it was someone else that I didn't know. But I don't know where it's gone now
