Flowers on a fig?

I have a nice brown Turkey fig tree in a pot. I get about six figs a year and very nice they are too. BUT I have never seen any flowers on my fig tree, just suddenly tiny figs appear. So...do figs flower and if so when and what do the flowers look like? and if figs don't flower, where do the tiny figs come from??

Hi Biddies one and all just made a cup of coffee and having a slice of Date and Walnut cake (97% fatfree !),anyone else want one while the kettle is hot . Takes me ages to find my way here but I did shaneystar running down the road in a pink dressinggown and her curlers falling out twice must have gone round in a circle ,well that's me .Apart from nearly wetting myself laughing at al the posts on here ,I,ve just learnt to go from BOLD back to normal ... do I get a medal for that ! Still can't post piccies yet but like Jude I will keep trying ( mrdolly says very trying ,I,m sure I don't know what he means ).Will most likely have to print up all the posts as it is the only way I can do anything on here by reading ( Alkaseltzer now kicking in or something like that ) .I'd just like to thank everyone for helping keep me (fairly)sane and for all the laughs it must be the best site on the computer anywhere. I spend a lot of time on my own and like some of you I am a worrier even when nothing to worry about ,I forget all that in Biddyland ....

cont... we are off to play Darts tonight with some other ex-Poms and some Aussies .They all stand well back from the Dartboard when it's my turn to throw ! but its all just a laugh and a social get together ,we used to have a British club and have social nights ,go on picnics and barbeques etc but everyone is getting older and some have retired to the Coast and the band is getting smaller .We always sang "You''ll Never Walk Alone at the end of the night when the dancing was over . shaneystar's brother will know the nostalgia feeling no doubt .Well time for a shower ,was going to have one in the Grotto but someones turned the hot water off so I'm off home .Bye for now luv to you all ,keep well and keep warm .

Morning all - real chilblain weather again but at least it's bright and sunny...my little snowdrops are still struggling to open so maybe the sun will encourage them...if I can get a few nice pics on my new digital camera later I'll post one.

Vinny how many did you have last night??? Hope you're not going to come in all hungover & expect any sympathy....you're on spud bashing duty today and I don't mean bashing strangers in Morrisons with a sack of them.

Dolly lovely to see you but it's a shame that the place is usually deserted when you get here....although it might not be a bad thing when Vinny's been on the becks & sprouts. It all gets so barmy in here I'm amazed anyone can make head or tail of it....
I haven't played darts for ages but I love it & so in your honour I've put a dartboard up in here....think I'll just have a bit of a go

Hi Dolly...yes my brother does get homesick now and again even after all this time.I often send him pictures that I take around here and when we do get snow he likes to get a picture.He lives in York W.A.Hope you enjoy your evening and try and keep all three darts on the board !!

Just finishing off me work!!! At 4.00am I had this superb idea, so wonder if Robbie agrees we should put a biddiebid in for this. It would solve all our problems of packing and unpacking and we could move round and round this site for ever and ever with no problems. We could buy a little trailer for the donkey. Vinny could be the driver!!!!! What do you think?

Afternoon figgies. It is freezing cold here, most unusual. If I had known that Dolly was up and about at 5am I would have had a natter, as I was up getting Mr N and daughter off to airport as she is spending the weekend in Barcelona. I decided to shgampoo her bedroom carpet , but machine broke down am so fed up as it's Bissell and cannot repair them or buy them here. Been out and bought lots of icky and lully cakes so am now gonna sit by the fire and gorge myself before Mr N comes back from golf and we go out for dinner.

Anyone still here ? Got back from Darts a while ago (least said about that the better but we had plenty of laughs ) My friend and I won 2 games out of 5 ,not too bad as I'm hopeless altho I did get a few doubles ...sheer fluke of course .Thanks for the dartboard Robinia I'll bring my darts next time ( anyone for ear piercing !) Love the Winnebago ,can we have singsongs as we roll over the Highways and byways . Vinny will have to lay off the sprouts if he's going to be the driver and change his slippers !........
