Gratitude
ABE suggestion - please can people be encouraged to have the politeness to either thank those of us who help them, or to recognise that we tried and tell us we were wrong. The site is quickly turning into a chat room, and I'm all for that. But if you want to keep it as an answer bank, then people need to have a reason to give answers. Ignoring attempts at help is rude and surely against the spirit of the site.
Or am I just 22 going on 82 and being a miserable old goat?

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.No no - we stopped the fight ages ago - it's fine! Well, not true, but I'm personally trying not to have another one. Anyway, if anyone wants to get back to the point, that's fine by me.
I have asked Ed to edit the auto emails that go out saying "An answer has been found". To say something like "An answer has been found. Please take time to read it, and consider rating it, or making a post to thank the other user for their help". He/She said they'd think about it! Smile costs nothing you know! :-)
