Morning Neti couldn't be bothered with that survey. I'd share a flat with George Clooney anytime loverrly!! The weather here has changed completely it's chucking it down and I have to go out - now where did I put that umbrella? Haven't used it for ages. Still haven't cleaned that room I said I had to do at the weekend, must really make an effort today..I'd love to have a someone come and clean for me.

Morning Jude & all - it's a horrid horrid morning isn't it? - wet cold bleak & dark - need I go on? I hate days like this - especially when I've had very little sleep so I'm a grumpy old biddy today.
Lots of cleaning in store for me too as little dog is being clipped later.....he's in blissful oblivion at the moment but the penny will drop when I get the table ready. At least the birds will be happy - I put the fur in a fat ball holder & it's so funny watching them take it away for their nests.

Just popped in quickly to say hello. Have to do some work and then am going to Burnham Market (Chelsea on Sea!) for a spot of lunch. Have just been to the surgery (again) for a blood test and showed the nurse a rash I have had for about five weeks - SHINGLES!!! I thought the pain in my lower ribs was from my fall. Oh well, I might as well get everything now and perhaps the rest of the year will be better. I am trying my best to see the funny side of the last two or three months!!!!

some more holiday snaps... It was awfully hot and dry in Ethiopia <looks wistfully out of window through sheets of water> and there were kids hanging onto my sleeves everywhere talking or begging or trying to swindle me, which gets very tiring. Not a country that's ready for big time tourism. Still, pretty fascinating. One of the first Christian countries - about the same time as Rome, I think, and there are ancient temples as well as the churches cut into the living rock in the middle ages. Fascinating. Don't think I'd do it again, though. (Should point out that most of the people I travelled with were of biddy age.)

Evening all ,gessoo you are having a bad time I believe Shingles can be very painful so you make sure you look after yourself and do what the Doctor tells you . It's 6am here ,very warm and muggy ,rain has gone for a little while but hopefully will be back .Been to the Doctors myself ,had chest Xray lungs full of rubbish (I,ve never smoked ) it says Peribronchial ,damned nuisance so now on Steroids and strong Antibiotics as well as all the other tablets for Blood pressure,hiatus hernia ,depression,thyroid, osteoporosis,asthma arthritis ,iron deficency(sp) etc ,etc.!!!LOL can't die yet the chemist would go bankrupt ! but I am still breathing (just ) and that's the main thing .Looking forward to visitors from Manchester arriving Sunday 12th (daughter,partner and my brother . By the way I get my daily dose of laughs off Biddybank so keep up yhe good work everyone .Laughter is the best medicine ! Bye for now going back to bed for a while .Look after yourselves and keep out of the cold . xxx

Hi Dolly, Thanks for your kind words. You and I could stock a pharmacist between us. I take tablets now for blood pressure, osteoporosis, arthritis, anxiety, plus pain killers. Have just finished the antibiotics!!! Yes, Biddybank is great and I so enjoy talking to everybody.

Sorry about your lungs Dolly. I actually have 'pigeon fancier's lung' caused through an allergy to budgies and cockatiels which I kept as pets!! Had to take steroids for quite a while, but fortunately, I have had no problems in recent years. I have to avoid chickens, pigeons and anything in the parrot family!!!

Any other Biddies want to form a Pharmacy Cooperative - BiddieMeds!!!!

Hello Gessoo and Dolly only nipped in to say goodnight to everybody. I think between you you will keep Boots going forever. I hope you both feel a lot better soon. You make me feel quite humble and lucky because I only take Fibogel and Cod Liver Oil and the occasional Paracaetamol.

Vinny Hope you enjoyed your night on the Becks. I haven't been out tonight. Listened to Chelsea playing Barcelona. Not much of a match. Well I didn't think so anyway.

Poor gessoo shingles can be terribly painfull and last a long time. Goodness me the biddies are falling apart.

If that jude starts skipping and jumping about like a young 'un I'll scream.

I won't even begin on my aches and pains, but have an interesting scar if you want to see it!!!

Come on Biddies - We had better have Keep Fit classes. Leotards on, tie your hair back, now

I think I must be lucky to jude(i do feel for people who have to medicine on a regular basis),I just have to take Becks a couple of times a week,its not easy but somebodys got to do it hehe.um...actually I do take acidophilus pills...milk thistle,ginseng,andacidosis,saw palmelto,have done for years.if people only realized they dont need to buy them expensive little yogurts to get there acidophilus.this is getting to serious.....right ive got the cleaners coming in a mo...there really good...
