Ever wondered what AB Ed did in her spare time? Me too... until I was wandering in the bazaars of Damascus the other day and saw <A target='_blank' href=&quot;http://img328.imageshack.us/my.php?image=abed7yt.jpg& ;quot;>this</A>. Crafty, eh?

******* B I D D Y P O W E R ******

(and incontinence knickers!!!!)

Neti you make me laugh!

morning all - well if we're running on Biddypower I'd like to be plugged into some please. Not feeling too bad actually, it's just this dizzy pressure feeling in my head that won't go away....probably because there's so much space in there.

Beautiful morning NO wind & sunny, although there has been quite a bad frost it's disappearing now.

I was reading those dreadful posts where OAPs were being criticised for being slow in supermarkets.... tut....pah! wait 'til it's their turn. Now I may not be an oap but I can't rush about either - in fact the other day on the way home from the docs I called in the co op & dropped my money on the floor twice at the till 'cos I was fumbly & my hands hurt.
I think we should get the bus out & do a tour of supermarkets at lunchtime & cause as much chaos as possible....and neti can stand in the aisles shouting down her new moby.

Morning Robinia. Glad you are feeling better. I'm about to start work but just thought I would call in here first and say a quick hello.

I have just added to that supermarket thread. I just couldn't help myself. When I read some of the selfish opinions on AB, I am really overjoyed to be a Biddie among my friends on here.

oh yes, I just called for everyone but me to be banned from supermarkets; it's the only fair way, I think. The rest of you can stop by farms and pick your own food.

biddies before breakfast

lol jno!

Morning, Biddies !

Jno That was a really excellent photo you took - such detail ! What camera do you have ?

Robinia Glad you are feeling better.

ALL Just glad I don't work in a supermarket :-)

Now, although I consider myself to be computer-literate, I am still trying to work out how you folks manage to create links to pictures, where the URL is hidden under another name. Can someone enlighten me please ? I can achieve this in Outlook Express but not on this site.

Have a nice day !

Morning Brain.

Post your link and hit space bar. Then highlight your link by scrolling over with left hand mouse button held down, and type what you want over the top (don't put any spaces in, otherwise you lose the link), hit the space bar again. You can then go back and edit the link and include spaces if necessary.

You can also do this with any of your own pictures by using a site such as www.tinypic.com and following their easy instructions.

Good luck!

See you soon.

Oh dear

Brian not Brain, although of course the second might be very true! Now where's me glasses!!

Morning all ..Still jolly cold here . I have just come back from a tramp round with Shane and it was freezing .No sign of it getting much warmer either.
Glad you are feeling a bit better Robinia ..I know the feeling with the hands.. I am terribly fumbly with money and am always grateful if there is someone to pack for me.I can't grip the heavy stuff. I am the same at home, forever dropping stuff and as for peeling veg and opening tins .!
Well folks I have some letters to write and emails to answer ....I get more lax by the minute ...a friend of mine calls me Slack Alice ..so I shall say toodlepip for now.
Have a good day all. xx

PuzzlesRus it's a Panasonic Lumix FX01, just bought it the day before - about 300 in the UK, $300 in the USA, so you can see why. Lovely looking thing, all in silver, weighs about one fairy footstep; 28-100mm (but digital). I've become very attached to it in its first week.

Hi All just finished my stint at the Supermarket! I see lots of elderly people and I can assure I am always considerate as I think I'm almost there myself!

Can't work out if you had a good time or not Vinny. Hope your son was ok. Did he tap you up for some cash they usually do!

Glad your feeling a bit better Robinia Isn't it lovely here now.

Brian I had no idea how to send piccies until Gessoo gave me instructions so if you follow what she says you should get there eventually. Be prepared for a few hiccups at first.

I'm off to have my coffee and read my paper now see you later! :o)

Just to ask where is the thread about supermarkets please?

And finally Vinny Think this was what Campy looked like on Saturday

Ahhhh

Vinny !!!!!
Smacks Vinny with a copy of Puzzlers Monthly ! Ouch !!
jno that piccy biddies before breakfast was lovely, quite classical. Anyway I've been to two supermarkets today and it wasn't me holding up the queues. Have to admit there was a very little oap working behind the cheese counter and she took ages to serve everyone and must admit my foot was tapping and I was making disapproving noises and muttering that old women shouldn't be allowed to work etc. Feel quite ashamed now. I hope those people on the other thread get to stand behind an oap who is incontinent and who hasn't washed for a week - phew and in this heat.
Thanks Gessoo nothing really new there. We supermarket assistants always seem to get the backlash of shopper's stress mind you in all my 15 years at Sainsburys I have only been up against about half a dozen not happy customers (and I mean ones that have shouted at me I always say would you like to speak to a manager, that usually shuts them up) but the majority are very nice people, old, young and foreigners and I have made some good friends.

hahaha we've new names for two of you I see.....I think from now on Brian has to be Brain, that had me in fits gessoo.... and shaney will forever be Slack Alice....

Welcome home Vinny!! - I don't think Brain's been wearing your slippers.......?

Looks like the Biddies have literally hit the shops today

after the biddyrush
