Ever wondered what AB Ed did in her spare time? Me too... until I was wandering in the bazaars of Damascus the other day and saw <A target='_blank' href=&quot;http://img328.imageshack.us/my.php?image=abed7yt.jpg& ;quot;>this</A>. Crafty, eh?

hahaha... shaney I misread your reply on this Q....thought it said my nephew is a husky...lol!!!

here

Iti s so windy here ....it's dreadful.I really want to get out in the garden..it looks such a mess..but the constant wind makes my headache after a while. We are only seven miles from the most easterly point in the U.K so you can imagine it is windy most of the time ..little or much.It drives me demented !!
I'll pass on the beer Jude ..I know it's naughty and I should not be drinking because of this diet but have got a drop whisky. Cheers girls and Brian.
I wonder if Vinny is behaving himself in Cambridge ...I hope he hasn't been punting on the Backs and fallen in !

Lol Robinia ...he's a lovely boy called Taz..the husky..not the nephew ! He's a gorgeous colour ..that sort of bluey white.
He needs an awful lot of exercise though .His eyes are amazing.
Well girls ..I am going to watch The Royal and Poirot. shortly...so will wish you a Good Night and God Bless..sleep well and see you tomorrow.
P.S.Hope you feel a bit better tomorrow Robinia .Antibiotics do play you up.Have a nice hottie on you tum! I always drink ginger or chamomile tea for a gippy tum.It does help to settle it.

yes they're beautiful dogs shaney....

I'm off too, going to turn the tv up loud so as to drown out the wind howling down the chimney ....sweet dreams all x

thanks shaney - have written chamomile tea on my list (head like a sieve)...it's been a while since I had any but it's very good.

Goodnight all as well, I'm going to watch Poirot too. See we do have some things in common!! :o)

Morning all ! Yet another wet and cloudy day here in Chester. When is Spring ever going to arrive ?

Thanks for the welcome and thanks for the pint, Jude. It's a bit early in the day at the moment but i'll drink it later. What is it about the link that puzzles you ?(excuse the pun)

Must go now, to do my Big Monday Xword.

Cheers.

Hi there PuzzlesRus (Brian) I have tried to read through the weekend's threads and work out how you came to find us and the connections with Robinia, Jude and Shaneystar. However, being an old Biddie means my brain don't work very well and I can't take it all in.

Welcome, anyway. I hope you will stay. We need some more male company. Vinny needs a breather now and then from being chased around by us old gals!

Like this!

I must go into QandP more often. I just have the awful feeling that if I start going there I will never get out!

See you soon, hopefully. Take care. x

Good morning to everybody else. Am about to start work and then am off for a window shop with my mate for the afternoon. Weather still windy and quite chilly today.

Oh, and welcome back jno. We missed you. x

Gessoo As regards how I found the Biddy community, it's really down to Jude, who found my web page and contacted me about crossword questions. I noticed that her username had cropped-up in Q&P, did a search to confirm and this thread came-up.

As regards the graphic you have just posted. I did realise what I might be letting myself in for :-)

Ah the puzzle is solved! I just clicked on the link to your site Brian, and it doesn't work. I typed the address in my address bar and it still doesn't work. Any suggesions?

See you soon.

What a dumbo I am ! - I missed-out an underscore character in the URL - It should have been http://members.lycos.co.uk/bri_tal

Sorry Jude and Gessoo no wonder you were puzzled.

Thanks Shaneystar for the link to that crossword. I;ll give it a go.

BTW, I cannot see anywhere on this site, any reference to the facility to incorporate Hyperlinks in posts. Clearly, you are all able to achieve this. What's the secret ?

Thanks Brian. I am on may way out now but will have a good look through your site later. Nice to see what you look like! We obviously around the same sort of age. Although you are probably a bit older than me if you were in the army in 1955! Welcome to the Biddies. I thought you were going to be a mere youngster!

Hi all
Hope we are all feeling O.K today .How are you Robinia?
Not all that warm here..it poured with rain last night and the wind was howling round the place like a banshee.
That Shane will not go up the garden alone in the rain at night so I have to go with him with a brolly.

Brian ..I can't do hyperlinks either because we run Mozilla firefox. I can only do them if I log into AB from Internet Explorer.
I didn't realise you had The Skeleton on your website..you saved my life this morning as I had a square in the wrong place.Skeleton is not my forte. I can never work out where to put the blanks.
Generalist is a very good crossword ..takes a lot of research though. The ones in the FT are good too..Polymath and the cryptic.I like cryptics best ! Am struggling with Saga at the moment.

Where is Vinny ..I hope he hasn't got lost in Cambridge .

Hello All been to Leicester today with a friend then when we came back I went into Derby to shop. You know retail therapy! Bought some shoes - can't resist. Brian I can't see your piccies, my putta tells me I can't get Java - tell me what to do please! I know Chester quite well I think it's a lovely city and I have very fond memories.

The weather has been lovely all day today and feeling really Spinglike for a change.

Hope everybody is alright especially Robinia, as you;ve not been around today. I've just been across the road to see how my friend is and I can't make her hear me so she must be in bed still feeling poorly. I don't know what to do for the best really whether to ring and ask if I can do anything or just leave her in peace.

Shaneystar I have MSIE 6.0 but still no go with hyperlinks. I love the

Skeleton is my favourite, followed by Private Eye (the latter being a bit irreverent)

Jude If you are using Windows XP, and Internet Explorer, then the chances are that this did not include provision for Java applets. when originally shipped, due to a copyright dispute. This being the case, you would need to download the Java software from
