Came home a bit earlier than normal - disco a bit naff. Should have stayed on board you sound like you've had a good time.

Lol Brian. Liked your tale - must remember that one for work. :o)

If I see any posts about Sprouts I shall report them straight away..likewise any that contain the word Bloomers or Hairnets.
I shall now retire to my hammock .Goodnight all and I shall require a ships biscuit and a cup of Bovril at eight bells.... Vinny !

Goodnight Shaney sleep tight.
Goodnight Jude....hope this boat doesn't rock about too much in the night !!

stumbles in wearing bag on head......

morning shipmates.....I'm wearing this as a precautionary measure, due to a dangerously low supply of nivvee which I'm trying to eke out until tomorrow. After 25 yrs of holding back the wrinkles I could at any moment suddenly sprout a face like a withered balloon. Maybe a tighter hairnet will act as a temporary facelift.

Hope you're not feeling withered this morning Jude after the party.

Right, I'm just going to peg me bloomers onto the mast & then I'm off to Ed's office, to retrieve my banned posts, & I'll be discussing suitable punishments for a couple of ABers mentioning no names.

in the mean time

ooh that squirrel's a demon, he must be one of those mean greys that are driving our mild-mannered reds to the wall. Had a super day yesterday - birthday lunch for a friend at an Italian restaurant that went on for hours. My body mass index reading demonstrates that I am now 77% pure pasta, the rest being Italian wine.

yes, that's me

Shaney Your secret is out ! Congratulations on your win Mrs S.

Now I can see why it is always windy where you live. You couldn't get any further east in England.

Morning biddymates. Nice day here not too rough.Might go for a stroll round the deck or along the canal path depending which sort of boat we're on!!

Hope you are all ok. Well done Shaney on your win. I do the Express puzzles on a Sunday but I'm always consulting Brian though I do manage to do them sometimes don't I Brian?!

Hi Robinia & Jno.

Thank you Brian..I was very chuffed !
Yes it is rather easterly here and extremely so today .After a lovely day on Saturday it has turned dull and chilly again.
Mind you when the weather is good here it's lovely. I'll give you the link to our place ..all very interesting
http://www.gorleston-heritage.co.uk/ if you like local histories .
Morning all you other seafarers.. I can see we shall have to shore up the side of the boat with some lifebelts after Jnos pasta fest !!

just popped on board while I eat me chs on tst...saying it quickly 'cos slack is about...

Looks a lovey place that Gallstone-on-Sea shaney...is that you outside the pub? Well done btw...wincarnis all round then.

Shaney Thanks for the link. An interesting history. The nearest I've been, is on a trip to Norwich, with brief excursions to Cromer in the north and Lowestoft to the south. What intrigued me about the area was the number of buildings made of flintstone.

As you say, it is not always cols and windy and, indeed, on the occasion I visited, the area was about the hottest in the country, with parched lawns everywhere.

Yes ..Flinstone buildings are very typical of Norfolk Brian..I may be wrong but I think there used to flint mining around the Thetford area ..Grimes Graves being a well known one. I would image there might be one or two ancient flint knappers skulking in Thetford Forest !!
Cromer is lovely and I have several relatives that live in Lowestoft. I was in Lowestoft last week actually with my brother.We go once a month to the fish market . Norwich is great ..for shopping and the Cathedral is wonderful. Edith Cavell is buried there. After many years of living in London Norwich gives me that city buzz which I missed when we moved back here.
It is very dry here ..I think the rainfall is one of the lowest in the country ..but it's that east wind....a lazy wind ..which doesn't go round you but straight through you !

Oooh I didn't see you there Robinia ....Give me that chs on tst at once !!
Yes that me ..hanging around the pub in my usual slackadasical fashion !!

Hey Biddymates!

Just wanted to drop in and ask if you could make a few ABers walk the plank for me? Ha!

Vinny & Robinia put down that weapon!

The last time I was in Gorleston Shaney was when I was 21. We stayed in a flat, and if I remember right there were some gardens in front and then the prom then the sea. I had a good week with my sister and her family and my Mum and Dad. About 16 years ago I had a week in Overstrand in a caravan. That was a tiny place and I visited a lot of the places along that coast and I liked Cromer especially.

Blimey ED...robinia see's the size of that and she will faint..hehe..!!yep.it went a bit barmy over the weekend...methinks they nicked are rum rations..or was it shaney...(:-)

~~~~~~~~~Eds message to the Mutineers..!!~~~~~~~
hoho and a bottle of rum
:-)
Oooh with the greatest of pleasure Ed, send 'em this way - but naughty you for posting our pic....now everyone will know about Vinny's whopper .......
I don't think Vinny will be a lot of help !!it was the sprouts that did for him.
http://blindkat.hegewisch.net/pirates/oneleg.j pggled Becks
Plus he's weighed down with all that smuggled Becks.
It's a nice promenade and beach here Jude..we used to have a lovely swimming pool too until the council in their wisdom decided to fill it in and grass it over .The swines.
Anyway when I say I have been down to the beach with Shane you can imagine where I mean.It was a lovely place to grow up in as a child .My Mum used to do B&B in the summer.
