What's the conventional term used to say "I've cropped the image of this painting, but only slightly"?

Here's an example:

1) The Mona Lisa

2) The Mona Lisa (detail)

3) ...but how do I describe this kind of cut?

I can think of ways to say it, but my question is What would be the conventional term used in the art world. How would they phrase it in a catalogue from an exhibition.

Yes, Robi - I do have those aswell, I really enjoy a good old kitchen sink drama. They don't make films like they used to. I get them from ebay (well, my friend does and I pay her). My most favourite isn't that old but is Angela's Ashes and I think it's brill. Guess I'm into nostagia.

Well it's another dreary day at Shaneytowers ..not naice at all.
I am quaite naffed orf about the weather ........Ok ..I'll take the plum out of me mouth and say it properly. ..the weather is ***** !
I remember going to see Up the Junction at the cinema .Do you remember that other one with Babs Winsdor ,Sparrers Can't Sing .They don't make 'em like they used to .I was always in the back row with my Maltesers .
Nice to see your Mum is doing well Woofy ..she's a grand age .My mum in law is 89 ..ninety in August and she's still in her own home with all her marbles intact .I doubt I shall reach such a grand age and my marbles are loose already :)
Anyway I've had to part with folding money today to have my washing machine repaired .But the good news is I am off to the big city tomorrow for retail therapy and cathedral visiting.... I shall also pop into M&S and see if can find any of these plumblycots.. so I'll see you all later .

Been looking for that John Wayne impression on YouTube but there are so many clips I give up.

Had a lovely afternoon in a park slightly bigger than mine and then when I came home we were still doing plums, ha ha ha, I felt right at home. I love plums much more than apricots, I even had a scarf with plums on, lost it about ten years ago and was still thinking about it only the other day.

Seeing as it's The Biddy Film Festival tonight, here's the original Vincent - again... Shaney beat me to it... what a combo that is, Don Mc Lean and Vincent van Gogh. Have a good one Shaney - retail therapy.

Well I'm sick of this, I hope it's a brighter day for shaney's plum squeezing expedition, there's nothing worse than a steamy pacamac & that soggy string tied under your chapped chin.

Yep, you can't beat a bit of 60s rough, I'm going to have to buy those on dvd & I love that Beatles song Vin but I always have the urge to sing the 'da..dood 'n dooo' bit through a cardboard tube :o)....it stems from when the lads were small & they played with imaginitive odds & ends from around the house, those tubes were always referred to as 'dood-da doos'.....hahaha...it's good here in my world.

This chappie lived up the road (and up a mountain) and was the first place I was invited to for a swim and drinky poos in 1971. (His wife, Belinda was absolutely loopy!)

hi all...another persisiting day here in the sunny south. Have just been out with the boys then on to Lymington to shop at the big waitrose there. We are now home all cosy and damp and the boys are nodding off to sleep and producing gas clouds.

We have bought them Kongs....they are big bouncy rubber things that they can chew and you can stuff them with doggy treats of various sizes so they have to work to get them out. You also get cans of squirty liver flavoured goo to put in that they can lick out...its quite tasty.

Got to tidy up the kitchen and pretend to be domesticated now....later dudes
