I'm looking for a new hair styler . My old Nicky Clarke has given up .
Well ,let's say it went ..bang ,and I jumped abut a lot :)
What I want is a hot brush type thing ..not a straightener ..just one of those ones that give your hair a bit of bounce . Like a blow dry brush but electric .
Any recommendations......thank you .

Well by the time I'd sweated around a couple of changing rooms my hair looked as if I'd been pulled through a hedge backwards .But the good news is I bought two pairs of jeans that fit .....hooray .You can keep your chain stores .The local department store had just what I wanted and the customer service is brilliant .I should shop there more often really.
It's got out quite warm here .
Hi jude, poor thing, I can't actually remember how I washed mine when I had a broken shoulder, I think I turned the shower on with one hand, wet the hair, turned it off, put shampoo on and rubbed in and then rinsed off again all with one hand, very fiddly and killed the back!!

Love that piccy jno, ha ha
Had to drop hija some clean clothes etc as she hasn't been home for 2 days and nights! so popped in for a coffee with a friend in a kiosk, but no chane for the parking meter so decided to go in the underground one (first time) eeek, getting in was Ok getting out was a nightmare, I took the life (0,-3; -4) and went into the bowels of the earth , ran up the forbidden ramp to the next floor (why aren't they no. 1,2,3 etc?) totally lost, it was awful then found the fllo and moaned at the attendant, who said I could have resident's discount if i could prove I was a resident so I did and then he looked at my drivinglicence photo(for id) and said how pretty I was, well so that made it all Stupid place, to get out it's on a very steep ramp right into the bus lane with pedestrians walking on it, it's touch and go if one can get out before the barrier comes down again, took 4 attempts to get ticket in the right way, NEVER EVER AGAIN!!
Are they typos or is my keyboard playing up^^^ ?
Hello all, once again we have had a catching up on sleep day. The dogs whinged when I got ready to go out to collect the ironing so I popped them in the car intending to do a bit of shopping but it was too hot to leave them in the car so we came home again.

Have changed the tub roses over for the maples and it looks really nice. Then I swept out the shed ready for the tortoise to be in and keep warm while she gets sleepy and I found a bunch of keys that I lost in the spring! They had fallen into an empty flowerpot.

when DH dislocated his collarbone I washed his hair for him.

It all makes perfect sense to me Neti .You caused chaos in a multi storey carpark :)
My bro has just brought me what are probably the last of the runner beans so am orf to string them and then make some grub for us .Then couch potato time for TV catch up .
I'll say Oight Oight and hope all Biddies get a good sleep tonight .
oight shaney... ♫...I pull my blue jeans on...♫

I've done a bit in the garden, very autumnal.

I can remember when I pulled my hair off to wash it in the bowl & hung it on the line to dry, haha. If I hung it on a drip stand a nurse could be chatting to it for 10 mins before she realised it wasn't me.

yes neti, absolutely.... no idea what she said
lol Jno my hair looks like that most of the time. Hope you get some good nights sleep eventually. I do know whats it's like not getting any. I was getting really p..d off. I don't like taking pills either especially pain killers but needs must and I'm still on them but hopefully now the plasters off not so often. I've never taken as many in my life as I have over the last 2/3 months.
Went and got my hair washed and blow dried. Walked out the door and nearly took off it was that windy. Its not too bad though and will hopefully be ok for tomorrow when I'm off to Nottingham to Live at Lunch which starts again once a month through til the new year.
Shaney I'd love to go and try some clothes on in Per Una. Still I suppose I'm saving some money, I need some tops desparately. That's set me off -
I think I'll go on line and browse. See yer later gater(s)!
Robi you have a brilliant sense of humour. You're great to know. Sorry I didn't read your post before I sent mine..x
I'm off now too so it's oight oight from me to you all as well.
My mate came round tonight for a gossip. He's the one whose wife I knew before I knew she was his wife. He's just gone and I am exhausted

I'll join you in dumpy corner .I'm fed up with this lurgy which I've had now for weeks on end now little or much .I feel like something the cat brought in and refused to eat atm.
Lots of people seem to have it. Is the pollen count extra high this year ?
I'm not an allergic type person normally but I'm sick sore and tired of this .
Even Mr S is snarting and sneezing which is unusual .
Oh well ..we live to fight another day and I've got to go to Morrisons and face the soap dodgers .Be good ..see you later .
Morning all...sneezy, sleepy, grumpy and dozy here...no, not 4 of us, that's just me.
I don't know what's been in the air but I've suffered with my sinuses and ears all summer too. Anti histamines have made no difference, that sterimar squirt helps but only temporarily.

A bit chilly and very blustery again. Keep your chins up ladies.
You're too kind Jude! :)
I am currently lurgy-free but I am typing this with rubber gloves on my hands just in case I catch any biddybug. Slept for three hours last night until OH's alarm went off, lay awake a while, then slept another hour until my own alarm went off, as I had to get up to let Bob the Builder in. He has cleared the guttering (a strip of beading, three floors up - must have come from the dormer window upstairs) and a massive build-up of mulch. Now he is doing some paving. I will think about offering him some tea soon, as soon as my eyes open.
Hi. Been out for a coffee with a friend which was nice, but still feeling grotty. I too must admit that I haven't been free of sneezing, blocked ears, catarrh, etc. all summer. I think the catarrh has got infected which is why I feel like I have a cold. Mr LL is the same. I reckon perhaps we are under attack from aliens who are sending down chemicals from somewhere out there!!

Robi, I read somewhere that fibrowhatsit sufferers should not use nasal sprays for some reason or another.
And now on another site I find out that fibrowhatsit sufferers are known to suffer with sinus problems and choking at night and that nasal sprays can help!!! The internet is not such a good thing...................................
I know I sound like a certain snotty doctor but do try sterimar for sinussy things. Its side effect free and helps me loads, rinses out any junk and soothes dry sore membranes. I have been sneezing and sneezing here...I put it down to autumn hay fever. The heather flowers late august and on through september and the wind born pollen can be very irritating.
We are having another lazy day here. its very nice. I have been feeling a bit troughy lately what with Shughy having his moments, poor sleep and horrid sticky weather so it was nice to have a good gossip and a laugh last night.
