I'm looking for a new hair styler . My old Nicky Clarke has given up .
Well ,let's say it went ..bang ,and I jumped abut a lot :)
What I want is a hot brush type thing ..not a straightener ..just one of those ones that give your hair a bit of bounce . Like a blow dry brush but electric .
Any recommendations......thank you .

didn't look too foggy here but apparently they've been grounding Heathrow flights (so what's that thundering overhead now, I ask?) and that's only 20-odd miles away.
Morning all.

Shaney shaney shaney that cake looks delicious ab fab, is it coffee?? I adore it.

Yes feel fine today, things to do and places to go. Care4cats is coming this afternoon to trap the ferral ones and to castrate them (must remember to keep Mr N out of the way just in case!!) Fed up with the neighbours encouraging all these wild cats, the poo everywhere is horrendous and smelly.

Right must get up now , feel fine, laters.>>>
Morning all...grey but mild here, I really must top up my soup mountain before this big freeze arrives....hmmm? but will it, looks more like a couple of chilly days to me.
Yes jno, it's been very murky in ole London Town, they showed Canary Wharf on the weather report this morning...well, they tried to.

neti I'm pleased we won't have to go looking for you on OffYourFacebook today...behave yourself, tut.

whooo shaney, a baking badge for you, what a lovely cake! I bet it disappeared a lot faster than it took to make it. I love coffee cake but I can't stand coffee chocolates. It was good of you to make jno some new microwaveable slippers at the same time...

I thought an oven was for warming up the kitchen.

Still grey and misty here ,drizzling and damp .Not cold though .They do say we are getting a mixed bag of weather soon including blood rain .We'll all be turning orange .
Yes coffee and walnut Neti ,by special request .
Hope all biddies are Ok today and any aches and pains minor .I've got a hospital apt this afternoon .They're going to look at the back of my eye .I wonder if they'll be able to see straight through and out the other side :)
god morning all. Quiet grey start to the day here.
Shaney, here's another special request I WANT ONE!! that is my most favourite cake of all time (well not including a coffee jap which I haven't seen for 20 yrs) How can you have the patience and the flexability to decorate all that, I would have eaten it halfway through.
♫ [I] watch out, hija's about, watch out hija's about!!♫

she's just landed at Gatwick!!
wet and miserable says my south coast contact. Hope hija is prepared for the off season.
Hiya Hija Have a great time and if you're ever near Derby call in for a Cuppa! :)

Lovely cake Shaney I could just eat a piece perlease!!

I've just about caught up with myself. 2 Hospital appointments yesterday and one today but ok now. Good news - I don't have osteoporosis. Have to go and see Mr Heras-Palou in 6 weeks and now I have to go for 2 - 1 hour classes a week for exercises. I can cope with that because they are working on things I can't do like turning keys in my car. I want to be driving by November 1st.

Thanks all for your emails and messages re my Paris break. It was really exciting and we had a lovely time. The weather was kind right up until the day before we came home. When it rained. Other days it was sunny but chilly. But had my Purple Per Una with me which is very warm.
We made a whistlestop tour of the Eiffel Tower (twice) The Louvre, The Notre
Dame,The Arc de Triomphe (many times as we were only 5 minutes walk away)
I loved sitting in the Champs Elysees watching the world go by.(Excuse the spelling) Amazing - all of it. I just couldn't believe the Eiffel Tower.
I hope all your various aches and pains are well under control now we're heading for worse weather. I'm still taking Paracetamol mainly when I go to bed now but I'm feeling a lot easier about things now.

Off now for a cuppa see yer later 'gater(s)
'Now' seems to be my word of the moment :):):)
Emails jude? you mean the others actually had the effrontery to disturb you on your "romantic" break? How very dare they???

You sound lovely and chipper, do I need to buy a hat yet??
have done naff all today.....
Welcome back Jude, I'm pleased you enjoyed your time in Paree....and it's great news about the osteothingy!

neti I've never had frontery of any kind, tut...I assume Jude's referring to replies to the email & piccy she sent to us all (including you) on her return.

My bloomin body aches today, I feel like I'm wearing a whalebone corset.
I've narrowed down the search for a coat to about 4 I think....the handbags are down to 40.

Hello all again
Nice to see you Jude and good knews on the osteo front .It is worrying when you break a bone when you are older .
Well it's dense fog here in more ways than one .The good news is there is nowt wrong with my eye .They couldn't find my brains but I was up there for two hours .They diluted my eyes and talk about can't see properly .It's easing off slightly now but it was nightmare getting home .i had to ask a strange man to see me across the road :)
oh that's good news for you too shaney... I had a taxi home when they'd been doing my eyes, I didn't trust myself to get on the right bus. Luckily all the signs outside the eye dept are about 10ft high so I didn't end up climbing into the back of a waste skip. :)
hello all, glad you had a good time jude, you look as though you did ;-)
and that's excellent news about the bones. Shaney, I am glad your eye is okay, that wobbly vision bit is weird isn't it.
Robi I hope your bones ache less tomorrow, post coat and bag pics and we will help you decide......
I have had a bit of a flat day today...not sad exactly but a bit numb and inert. I feel better now...dont think that the weather helps....oh well, tomorrow is also a day....
Good for you shaney, good about the eye and good about getting up to my tactics asking strange men for help, bucks one up no end!!

Love these dark evenings, I had a quick bath and popped into bed to watch Eastenders and The Paradise. Can hear Mr N having the effrontery to snore loudly in front room!!!
Question Author
It was a funny feeling .
I wasn't too bad getting on the bus .It stops right by the hospital entrance but when I got off at the church it was dark and really foggy .I have to cross a big roundabout four times and I could see the car headlights but that was all I could see and couldn't see if they were indicating to come round or go straight over .Everything was a total blur .It might help if they cut the damn bushes which are growing on it so you can see over it .
I felt like an old doddery duck asking someone that .He was going my way though !
Alls well that ends well though .Oight Oight Lovelies .Sleep tight .
morning all, nice walk this morning, dogs are sleeping soon me too.
Morning all. Sitting having my breakfast and catching up. I'm pleased your eye is ok Shaney and that you got home safely. That must have been scary.
I have no idea what the weather is like yet.
Neti Robi was right. No emails or texts while I was away. Didn't bother too much with my phone in France it was too costly. And don't go buying a new hat I'm too old for that ! Just happy on my adventure at this time of my life!
Steady is coming to see me today on his way home from work. Since he was off with the ectopics etc. he has been working short hours to get him back in the swing so he'll be here about 11 o'clock.
Hope you all have a good day. Laters 'gaters
