Eyebrow threading

Have any of you ladies had this done ?
I was in town this morning and there was a stand in the shopping centre and they were doing eyebrow threading for a fiver .I dithered :)
Does it hurt ? My eyebrows are nowhere near as thick and dark as they used to be these days but I was wondering if it might make them "look" neater and thicker.

They look very strange to be springing up in a lawn Jno .I'm baffled .
Have you looked at any foliage the neighbours might have in the way of trees or shrubs that could be similar in appearance ?
We'll have to call Dimmock of Derbys in :)

I think he called it a day with Mary Neti ,going by the scene in the ambulance .
It's all up in the air as to a new series and I somehow think that was the end. I would imagine he's probably gone off with Alice and they become vigilantes somewhere .He can hardly build a relationnship with her in a series ,he's a cop ..she's a serial killer :)

can't see anything like that in neighbouring gardens, shaney. Besides, the roots aren't all pointing in one direction, they're all over. I am on red alert now, though, so they appear at theri peril.

What have you painted on Jno?
Have you tried a general all round weedkiller spray like Verdone or Round Up for lawns ?

oh what a clammy day, don't think I stopped sweating until half an hour ago because I'm sitting by an open window listening to steady rain, it's lovely. Some thunder in the distance but nothing bad .....yet.

Oh yes I remember now Jude...three weeks is a long time for my foggy brain :) Can you post a pic?

And you too jno, a pic might help although I'm as baffled as shaney. A root system like that certainly sounds like suckers of some kind. Have you (or a neighbour) removed anything in past couple of years and the roots are still growing? I know my cherry is making suckers for the first time ever, I've put it down to all the rain last year. I'll have a think, I'm tired, I've been shopping with sis.

Yes jude I remember but I am absolutley useless at plants. In fact can someone tell me what to do with hija's tom plant, it now has little yellow flowers but the bottom leaves went yellow so I pulled them off, are we over watering, is it too hot, it is in shade and sun and shade.

Just been out for tapas (little picky things to eat) and beers with Mr N cos there's no holding me down now. The pie was delicious (I tasted hija's bit) but we'll have it another day, Tomorrow we are going out for the day to the beach (hey husband I hate the beach - his revenge??) and a meal. But that shout last week did him the world of good.

thank you for the congrats. Sis got a first for a cross stitch picture, I got a first for my rose spray brooch, a second for my mixed fruit liqueur and third for my birthday card. Sis did a card that was much nicer than mine but it was unplaced.

Very pretty Woofy .Well done both of you.
It's been a pretty dull gloomy day here and it's raining now .What a contrast to the hot sunny weather we've had .
I've had my fix of The Americans and it looks to be a much cooler night than of late .So, Oight Oight sleep toight .

rained overnight... enough to wash the weedkiller off the willowy invaders but not enough to get down to legitimate trees' roots, I suspect. And now it's nice and sunny.

Still need some advise on tomato plant, if the leaves are going yellow is it too much watering, although we only water the dish in the base and it soaks it all up.

Morning all...ooooooh lawdy, did it rain. It hammered down for hours after I'd posted last night but there was no storm although I heard occasional rumblings in the distance....or maybe it was my insides, they're very noisy this morning.

Neti, you must feed tomatoes that are in pots or bags (and not on tapas, either proper tom food or any high potash food) and keep them moist but not water logged...are you doing that? I have found that tomato plants yellow as the season ends though and so long as the fruits are coming on and some leaves look healthy I wouldn't worry too much...you could remove any seriously yellow or dying ones.

Well I'm tired today - I knew I would be - so I'll mostly be painting my nails with the blue varnish my sister talked me into buying. I'm funny about nails, I hate nail art & I rarely do high fashion colours but this is pretty...

Have you or any neighbours got, or have had, a rhus (stag horn sumach)? They're devils for suckering.....beware, if you put strong killer on any shoots it could travel back & damage the shrub if there's one around.
