I have no intention of acting on these thoughts. I dont know how to get rid of them. I am frightened of going to see my GP in case I am admitted to hospital straight away. But I want rid of them. I am not on any medication for the mind. So maybe I need to be

Just a few replies from other ABers who are not quite as easily duped.
Can anyone who swallows this self pity truly admit they have personally met the poster and confirm his concerns are genuine?.
Does the poster ever respond to his posts and the advice given. Very rarely if hardly ever.?
Does the poster actually take the advice given when he is advised his diet is bad but continues to lament his blood sugar readings and rotten teeth.
I have never met him either so tell me how you are all so convinced!!

gordiescotland1 -

I'm glad I prefixed my previous answer with, "Assuming your version of events is accurate...".

Having now read Naomi's post/link above and Baldric's post/link of 20:18 Wed 03rd Jun 2015, I am revising my initial response:

I don't believe that you have given us all the pertinent information on this matter. I think that you are posting to deliberately engender sympathy and to manufacture excuses for your behaviour rather than looking for sincerer and honest answers to your "apparent" predicament.

It is a pity that the minister or members of the congregation don't post on here so we can have their views of this incident.
We have heard only one side of this.
We know from previous posts that Gordie makes dramas out of everything.
"Hating the world" for the proposed rail strike, the jacket situation, hating the staff in Tesco, sending nasty letters etc. It never seems to end.
Very sad.

What are you trying to prove, retrocop? And why? Read the rest of his posts and it will become obvious.
Km, I thought you meant side effects of medication. There is no good side to anxiety, that's why we are trying to help...

That's half way to recognising there is a problem here, a problem that pervades Gordie's life - now turn it around and say how can we help him? Even if he scorns it/belittles it/swear blue murder at it, it's that folk are here and maybe, just maybe, he listens, maybe today or whenever, and takes action.....frustrating yes but not an excuse to deride him or anyone in his situation for the past.

Maybe *you* shouldn't stir, svejik. I certainly read retros comments as being critical of those who worked for the Samaritans. Maybe poor wording on his part.
I’ll just say to some of the posters here that, regardless of your impressions, in a situation like this if you can’t say anything nice, or encouraging, or positive, don’t say anything at all.

I wish you well, gordiescotland1.
Oh do stop squirming, Retrocop....we all read what you posted.
Excuse the few typos...tired eyes.
Typos not excused, KM... and I have reported you for your attitude towards Gordie.

I have read the post as far as I can.
// I am frightened of going to see my GP in case I am admitted to hospital straight away.//

As usual he would rather post a drama here among those who are medically unqualified to help.
So why must he not see his GP if he is that desperate. Why can't he go to hospital if he needs help with mental issues?
This is not the site for medical cures. You do not get much sympathy, however, from doctors or hospitals who have their time wasted by attention seekers and that could be the root cause why our poster does not seek medical advise. If you are told to cut out excess sugar in your diet by those who actually know the patient then it is no use being outraged because you are told that is the reason for your constant bad health and post bile and bitterness on this site.
I think you will find that this man gets short shrift from most people he encounters in his life in the real world according to his posts.
I meant all the previous ones too. He has been to the doctor. He has been prescribed antidepressants, but (I think) not taking them. It's all part of the anxiety, just like what you have just described. sometimes people just need a bit of support as well.
And yes, bad sugar control with diabetes causes depression and anxiety, too. That needs to be got under control- if it isn't.

No squirming by me. Tell me how I suggested volunteers in the Samaritans are gullible. I was referring to some on this site and well you know it or on the other hand bearing in mind the time.....

//Perhaps some of the more gullible would like to volunteer their services with the Samaritans.
The genuine and the self pity seekers will soon be established with experience. //
That implies if you join the Samaritans you may, with experience ,sift the time wasters from the genuine people in need of help.
Sorry you can't read or understand the obvious.

geordiescotland;//...I have no intention of acting on these thoughts//
Then there isn't a problem is there?
He's still alive so i'm guessing that's a good thing?
