Do you believe in its powers? I'd be really interested to hear your opinions.

I don't believe NoMercy at any time said it would cure everything and to be honest if you have a chronic disabling condition then you should get your mental facilities checked as well!

that was addressed to me and I find it quite rude to be honest.
Eek...you weren't there ummmm when I started typing...
perhaps retrochic was referring to this:
"be honest if you have a chronic disabling condition then you should get your mental facilities checked as well! " on first read, and without the benefit of oslay's correcting post, it seems pretty rude.
No mercy, i think we are just going to have to agree to disagree for now.
Ummmm we are encouraged to report posts that contravene AB rules -this is body and soul not chatterbank. I would prefer to report a post than give the answer I really want to give and get suspended.

Bednobs, I don't desire or expect to generate a following here but it's totally absurd to give credence to the negative assertions of those who know nothing on the subject when I began studying this some 2 years ago.

Two years ago my colleagues in Rheumatology (where I worked at the time) began intermittently fasting. They didn't do it on a whim. These guys are Doctors themselves and are loathe to recommend or indulge in 'fad' diets. They chose to embark upon and follow on this path because there was overwhelming evidence, from extended medical research, that there were prolonged health benefits to fasting.

Fasting is not new. The ancient Egyptians swore by it.
Rude enough to report by someone who is habitually rude?
No...this is what she said...

I pressed send to soon and added to it, but I believe Retrochic just likes the opportunity to be offended .

There is nothing remarkable about the documented case histories I have read in the past couple of days. I remain unconvinced.
Ummmm I'm leaving this now to probably top myself I am so offended. Carry on and enjoy yourselves but retro's not biting. LOL!
, speak english will you please Ab is not a book you are going to have published (i hope??!) so there is no need to sound like an essay. you can't see that patronising people puts them off of your arguement

Anyway, if I haven't mentioned it before, I was completely fascinated (and I mean FASCINATED) by both medical research and nutrition from a very early age. It's always been my big passion in life and hence I'm so interested in this.
Retro...you've been biting for two days on here.

*rolls eyes*
Well guys its nice knowing you if I am banned after this report.
Oh gawd...now expressing ones self in an educated manner puts people off?
So is dumbing down the answer?
I go on forums...diet forums no less...where there are constant discussions of a very scientific nature regarding new research. How else do we learn?
Question Author
Talbot, do you suffer from any chronic symptom?

If you cannot be convinced one way or another, why not try it and report back to us?

I doubt you'll be banned...or even suspended. The Ed and mods have more sense than that.
