Do you believe in its powers? I'd be really interested to hear your opinions.

and especially try and preach to people suffering from chronic disabling conditions (like me) that in fact all they need to do is Fast and they will be cured.
NoM I copied and pasted your very words -how on earth could they be twisted? You are becoming nastier by the minute I have no time for people like yourself that read a book, become an instant 'expert' and disregard anyone else's opinions or feelings.
stedy on, i dont think she quite said that
I don't believe NoMercy at any time said it would cure everything and to be honest if you have a chronic disabling condition then you should get your mental facilities checked as well!

There is a lot of sniping and attempt at dominance on this question against NoMercy and I don't think its warrented.

Sorry missed a bit out.

I don't believe NoMercy at any time said it would cure everything and to be honest if you have a chronic disabling condition and you go ahead and follow this without seeking advice then you should get your mental facilities checked as well!
NoMercy said - A lot of my Doctor colleagues at work swear by fasting and two of them who were chronically I'll with rheumatoid arthritis are now off-treatment.
are we reding the sme post, islay?
NoM posted yesterday 20.07 its there inf anyone is interested. I no longer am.

Islay you are very rude this is not chatterbank I have reported you.
.....and the moral of this tale is..............if you are so obviously condescendingly 'well-read' and an expert on the subject, why ask for other peoples opinions?
You are unbelievable, Retro.

Okay, the main difference between the Bible and the recent and historical studies into fasting are that the latter carries witnessed, documented and proven evidence to validate it's claims. To compare the two is just incongruous.

Retro, thank you for your inordinate interest in this thread. Please can you post some links to any recent (the emphasis on 'recent') findings to suggest that there are absolutely NO benefits to fasting? I can post 100 to suggest there are.

After you.
Where was Islay rude?
Thanks Ummmmm I prefer incredible ;-)
i m not seriously comparing studies on fasting to the bible - only the condescending attitude that you seem to share with the people who believe they know it all and everyone else is stupid, so often displayed by the people who post in religion category

Ditto....where was Islay rude?

Heck, retro, you can give it, but you can't take it...
Its OK

Its appears that Retrochic and give it out but does not appreciate being called on her comments.
Islay hasn't been rude!! It's just Retro playing the victim again.

Incredible is certainly not a word I would use.

Bednobs, I'm going by years of medical research, documented case histories, proven clinical findings and my own and close acquaintances' experiences... Not random or organised religious fervour. For goodness sakes...
Nom - yes I'm going off to have a little cry to myself now I'm so offended.
