Hi Fruit salad
Like you I was addicted to bread and enjoyed it most accompanied by cheese! I gave it up after a long period of pretending hat I was cutting down and now have it as a small treat if I'm out. I started by nt replacing it really. Have a salad for lunch with lots of interesting ingredients, but no bread. Have a small jacket spud with beans and a side salad, try thick soup but no bread.
For breakfast I Have cereal (oat based as I'm not a fan of wheat) or fruit and thick low fat yoghurt.
But when you need something else have rice cakes. They come in various flavours but I'm mostly happy with plain ones. I have a scrapping of spread on them and either marmite, honey, humous, feta cheese, whatever the occasion.
I have lost 3 stone in a year and still have some to lose, but feel loads better. No ibs, smaller jeans and a happier outlook. Please give it a go and let me know what your weakest bread moment is and I'll tell you what I do at that time!

OK.... now......just don't buy it.
Instead buy loads of fruit. Not boring fruit, but ripe pineapples, mangos, apricots and lovely fruit. Have your porridge and then have a bowl of fruit with a lovely cup of coffee. Then find something for lunch that is not a sandwich. Pasta salad or Soup or Have the sandwich filling with a side salad and a rice cake.
Then....still buy any bread but instead, reward yourself with a bunch of flowers!
I can't pretend it was easy, and believe me I was as much a bread fanatic as you. I still drawl over crispy rolls, but the heavy old cut bread is no longer appealing. I have done it so it is possible! Good luck.
