I have been a Dubonnet fan since i could legally drink nearly 40 years ago. I bought a bottle recently and it definitely tastes and smell different and not for the better. So...it it me or have they changed it?

there's a german "lady" on the net who does that act. Horrible weather here today, warm and windy and not enough rain.
Blimey Jude .I've got a job to get up the High St let alone climbing over stiles .I wish I could walk that far .Turned really chilly here and blowing a gale of wind .
I'm going to wave my red hanky to you all and go to bed .Oght Oight .

oight oight all...have had an interesting evening with Shughy who has decided he is scared of houseflies....He is now asleep having worn himself, and me, out
I have got through most of the day with only moderate coughing but it is now evening and I have started again. I am probably setting off signals in the fire station, maybe even air raid warning sirens. Hope I'm not keeping anyone awake in East Angular.
Morning all, oh jude I'd love to do that trail with you, think I could manage it.

"Sticky Vicky" was the "woman's" name from Benidorm, strings of flowers and flags etc, say no more!!! Benidorm is awful, only been there once myself in the 80's, never again.

Jno I have joined you in the coughing stakes, it's gone to my chest (as if there's room for anything else!) not bad in the night just a few tickly ones but this am I am really coughling and wheezing, do hope it doesn't turn to bronchitis again. Anyway jno I blame you!!!

Stayed in yesterday, most unlike me, but I did wash the bathroom stuff, so not a day completely lost, and the chilli was nice.

Off out this am, couldn't possibly stay in for another day.

Looks sunny outside the window and there's a breeze so all's good.

Hope you are all OK.
Morning each...where did all these ping pong balls come from? tut :)
What lousy weather, lashing rain and gales last night and now it's dull, wet and cold.
I'm starting to wonder whether there was a mix up and Tarquin is Jude's son, he says he'll have a run over at the weekend to give me a tutorial on my kindle. That's run, as on foot, not a run in the car. It's about 10 miles I think. :/

Sorry about all the virusususes, fingers crossed the symptoms have subsided for me, it's just the awful fatigue I'm left with.
here you are neti, this should cover it...

Robi watch out for the pigeons....
Restless night here, Shughy kept dreaming then waking himself up and being upset again, he's a real wuss. Anyway its cool and grey so later we'll go shopping I think.
Hello all
It's National fed up,fed up and bored day at Shaneytowers .Cold ,dull ,blowing a gale and raining .I thought it was snowing at one stage but it's the blossom blowing off the tree .Hope you are all Ok though .
Oh shaney there is nothing worse than boredom!

I am being a wuss, feel bad, and my chest hurts when I cough and I can't breathe, wuss wuss wuss. Have taken an antibi and I feel worse. It's a woe is me day!

I want to leap about full of the joys.....
Just managed to poen Robi's link, I could do with some Vick, not sure if we can actually get that one here.
I have been for a chest X-ray, and the doc says if that doesn't show anything he'll give me some steroids. Olympic gold here I come!
Afternoon each. I was up at six and raring to go after a really good sleep I didn't expect to have. The reason being my 'inards' started up again last night. I took one of the tabs the Pharmacist gave me at the station on Tuesday and luckily it settled it for a while. But I still feel sick a lot of the time even though I've been out this morning and had a bit to eat. I met another friend who was coming especially to Derby to meet me so I couldn't let her down. She took me to a great place to eat in Westfield. Right at the top in the Studio One restaurant where all the Cinemas are. I had no idea that the place was there I thought there was just one cinema not 12 but there's a great bar and very nice place to eat. In the lunch times you wouldn't believe there was a heaving shopping area below you. My friend says it gets extremely busy in the evening when people eat before a show.
Yes Neti that's that woman's name I couldn't remember. The walk was brilliant and I'm sure you would make it if you like walking Neti. We weren't 'yomping' but not particulary strolling either. Just lapping up the fresh air and quietness except for what the countryside offers. The animals which we saw plenty of and the odd tractor.
Just listening to Radio 2 celebrating 60 years of Friday Night is Music night. It's been brilliant as I love music as you know. They're playing and talking about all sorts of music with loads of famous musicians.
That's enough rambling from me for now. Have a good evening Biddyfriends.
Feel better soon Robi Jno and Neti. Hope your ok Woofy and Shaney.
See yer later 'gater(s)
Haven't forgotten you Lottie. Think about you and hope your doing ok! x
it has been a crip day I agree...Jude you might be able to help here

Oh well it got out quite nice in the end ,sunny in parts and I got some washign dry .I managed to amuse myself by writing a couple of letters ,and trying to complete a really hard crossword and looking for things I've lost but still can't find .And I went round with WD40 because we had a couple of squeaky doors .The excitement was too much .
I hope your xray comes back clear Jno .Perhaps you could be a bit asthmatic .
You need some good old salty air at Shaneytowers .Guaranteed to clear your tubes and anything else that's bunged up plus full English . Funnily enough when we lived in London we had colds and coughs on a regular basis .Mr S was always getting colds. Since we've been here I think I've had two colds at most and the super cough but that's long gone thank goodness .
technically I am asthmatic, shaney, I developed it after an op about 20 years ago. But apart from that, and some bronchitis a few years ago, I've never really had any trouble at all. I have tried puffing in my standby inhaler but it's made no difference. I've just got gunk in my tubes (I don't really think it's as far down as my chest), so I cough it up or blow it out through my nose. It really is just a particularly nasty cold, I think. I've had it for a tenth of a year so far...

Pulls out red hanky.
oh, I might sit down and watch this thing about Regency balls tonight. Very rare for me to watch telly, but if it's whispering Dan or Lucy Worsley I will make an exception. Alistair Sooke I'm not quite sure about yet.

I am videoing the ball and watching last night's Paul O'Grady at Battersea.
Well I hope you soon feel better Jno .I'll watch the ball on catch up as I watched some crime thing on ITV .It wasnt all that good really .
It looks good and they've got Ivan Day on the food I think .He's a good food historian .Talking of Lucy, I read a book by her recently entitled Cavalier all about Wiliam Cavendish whom I think she did her Phd thesis on.
Very well written ,no stuffy prose ,warts and all.
Btw Jno theres a new series staring soon on BBC 4 The Tudors Season which might be interesting .

Oight Oight me hearties .Sleep toight .
I saw that, shaney, or rather I mean I will see it. I've watched the ball, which seemed a lot of fun for the participants but I must admit I thought I was understanding Jane Austen quite well without it. But I am currently recording the Suspicions of Mr Whicher, as I missed it first time round but have recently read the book.
