Roasted parsnips and carrots, Brussels and red cabbage. Of course you have to have Yorkshire puddings
Brussels, broccoli, peas, roast potatoes, carrots, parsnips, some kind of cheesy leek dish, don't forget the stuffing.

Yorkshire puddings are not a traditional Christmas table accessory but i do agree, gotta have the yorkies.
I served Christmas dinner without Yorkshire puds and was told by my family it was a disappointment. We now have them but I use frozen ones! I use broccoli, carrots and peas as these are the ones that are preferred by everyone.
I bought foil trays and I'll just put them on the table for people to help themselves.
I'm doing roast and mash spuds, roasted carrots and parsnips, brussels with chestnuts and cabbage with pancetta.

Pigs in blankets, stuffing and Yorkshires.
In the past I’ve done all kinds of veg, never Yorkshire puds though, including spiced red cabbage, mashed celeriac, leeks in cheese sauce...
This year however, with all the family here and having asked what their favourites are, I’m reverting to tradition so we’ll be having sprouts with pancetta and chestnuts, carrot and turnip mash, roast potatoes and roast parsnips. Oh yes, and a few peas for the pea lover.
There’s an article in The Guardian which says never serve Yorkshire puds with Christmas dinner, always wear a party hat, one type of potato is plenty, and never run out of gravy :)
Foil trays are a must Ummmm, anything which goes in the oven will be in one in this house too.
Brussels, parsnips and carrots. I never do yorkies for Christmas dinner, but I do for every other roast. Don't know why. Probably oven space, but I don't have that excuse now.

Maybe I'll do some this year.........or may be I won't, if no one's expecting them.
I never ever used to but people seem to expect yorkies these days so do now. Other than that parsnips, peas and carrots. No-one in my family eats sprouts so don't bother.
I'm glad this thread came up, cos parsnips are missing from my shopping list.
Spiced red cabbage, sprouts with lardons and chestnuts, roast potatoes, roast parsnips , buttered carrots with parsley. Home made port, cranberry & orange sauce, pigs in blankets and stuffing made with outdoor bred pork sausagemeat, apple onion & sage. No yorkshire pudding, never make the stuff, empty calories. Lots and lots of gravy.
You have whatever you want.
Winter veg seems more traditional, but ditch the sprouts because nobody likes sprouts.
OG I love sprouts - all year round. Lovely grated and fried with walnuts. Also like creamed sprouts - mashed with some butter and pepper - ooh I'm salivating at the thought.
I like sprouts. I used to hate them but ate them because they were served to me and I didn't want to be rude. I really like them now.
I love sprouts too but much preferred the ones we had when I was a child before they bred the bitterness out of them. I wish they still sold the old varieties but I’m happy enough with the ones we buy now.
I love sprouts as well. I'm going to try Bang Bang Sprouts, a recipe that keeps popping up on my news feed.
I like sprouts especially with pancetta and mint
Have they changed then? That might be why I like them now.

I don't really eat Yorkshires but my son loves them and they are so easy to make.
I'm cooking for 14 just after Christmas and having done this before, I do a selection of most meats, TONS of Roasties, a lot of mash, then roast winter veg (Parsnips, carrots, red onions, mushrooms etc) and sprouts in bacon and cream, with something like cauliflower or green beans for those who like. Selection of stuffings with a single stuffing base ( so port and cranberry, apple etc). I also always do lots of Yorkies and like Umm do the foil tray business so people can serve themselves. So far I haven't bought anything towards this fiasco and I'm still procrastinating :/
Sprouts and parsnips must be involved.

No Yorkshire puds. This is Christmas - we are not heathens.
Eth - have you tried the Brussels on the stalk they tend to be sweeter. I do roast potatoes, parsnips and carrots mashed together, red cabbage and cauliflower cheese and Brussels because that's what we all like.
