does anyone know where I can buy maple sugar, cream and butter from a uk mail order company? I know I can get it straight from Canada and the US but the p and p and customs make this very expensive.

Morning all, here I is.
So sorry your OH has ongoing procedures to endure jno, what a trial, sending good wishes. Your poor sister too neti, that's a lot to cope with. My ailments are nothing in comparison.
I've still got remnants of the rash and an achey/ sensitive leg but I think I got off lightly after the initial agony. I've been so busy, too busy probably, this past week trying to organise as much as possible in case we get locked down again. Tarquin came and did some diy jobs and papered the feature wall in my boudoir, it's very dramatic, I love the change. The other walls were done earlier this year, just cream...T insists they're beige :) Thursday I had a new washing machine, I'm very pleased with that. Friday....drum roll....I had my hair done, woo! Then two days ago the big guns came and did some tree work. They said the robinia's very brittle now, and decided climbing it it might not take their weight so they used ladders and long pruning thingies to take some dead branches out. They did ask if I'd ever been in a harness and ropes...oooh, I say, I couldn't possibly comment, haha.
Anyway the result of all that is https:/ /ibb.co /QJB66h L
Hope you're all as well as possible and hoping for some warmer, less blustery days.

Lovely to see you Robi and I am so glad you are mostly over the shingles....horrid thing. My tree men are coming february ish because my mimosa wants attention and I cannot bear to have it done before it flowers. Yes sis and I are making contingency plans for winter nastiness....better to have taken precautions and nothing happens than to get caught out.
Afternoon all
Lovely one too.Warm and sunny.
Nice to see you Robinia and pleased to see you feel better.
Yes, a second wave could be on the cards so I'm glad I went out today for what it was worth.I had to go for a blood test for thyroid function and no getting away with it this time,so off I went sporting my mask and sprayed with eau de Dettol:)
I was the only person in there and have never been seen so quickly.
The High St is like a ghost town, very people about and as I walked past the library I saw that it's totally empty,no books, shelves, carpet, checkouts, computers or anything.I'm wondering if it's ever going to open again.Trudged back and never passed anybody at all both ways.
Same old otherwise. KBO.

lovely day so I've picked some plums (and cut off those going rotten - there are rather more of those) but apart from that mostly looked at far flung corners of the family tree, which is no more productive than the plum tree at the moment.
News about OH not very good unfortunately but we've got lots of hospital appointments later in the week to sort out treatment plans.

the surgeons seem moderately optimistic about OH: You'll never get rid of it, it will get you in the end, but we should be able to put that off quite a long way and you'll able to see your grandchild at Christmas.
Encouraging, I guess, though you have to take time frames with a big pinch of salt. Anyway, chemo starts next week.

oh, it wasn't their honesty... a few years back the husband of a friend of mine was given a year to live. I phoned up about three months later to say I could come and visit them, but he'd actually died a couple of days before, months and months early. At least I got to the funeral, way out in Pembrokeshire, a wet, dark Welsh winter day.
Morning all
Not as hot as yesterday which was scorching and reached 36C in the back garden.
At least you know where you stand Jno and the treatment is going ahead quickly. You just have to take one day at a time.
Hope the rest of you are all OK.
I've just received a Phlat ball from EBay.I ordered a jigsaw puzzle!
The seller said to keep the ball and he's sending me the puzzle.I'll have to find a child for the ball.
