I'm reading a history mystery and in the book the protagonist is invited to look around the house of a lawyer .It's stacked to the gunnels with various artefacts statues ,paintings etc .It reminded me of a museum somewhere in London that was in a private house but I can't remember the name of it .It's bugging me :)
Any ideas as to what it's called ?

ooh neti, beware Mr Clary, he does a lot of audience participation (I do like him)...we don't want to see you in tomorrows papers. Enjoy PJP tonight...I couldn't stand a head massage, my head always hurts to the touch.

lol Lottie.... I don't think it's going well with shaney and the salon

Hahaa Robinia .
I'm not having a good day am I ?
What with the flabby ham and crumby rolls .
I think I'll go and find his whisky bottle :)

Have a good time at the shows Neti .
I don't think Mr Clary will "audience participate" with me. :0( although we are in the front row. Also in front row for pjproby, and geriatrics and the pacemakers! I dont mind a bit of participation with ole devil proby!! Doubt he could participate anymore anyway
I haven't texted my hairdresser either shaney, I just keep putting it off, I hate having my hair done.

Front row neti! You'll be a sitting target...keep ya bazooms covered up!
I stick like glue to my hairdresser because she and I have a long history. The place I go, the owner does all her own training and she is the third graduate I have had. The first two married and went off to have kids. The owner is really good (of course) as are the other stylists, but I having the same one all the time, she really listens to what I want. The first few times I make sure we have long conversations about how I like my hair and I give loads of feedback. By about the third visit I say same again and they grin and its all fine. i don't think its so much that the others aren't so good, its just that they don't know me.
Evening all. another busy day. I'll be glad of a lie in tomorrow. Was up early and drove to the Hospital. It would normally take me 15 mins. but this a.m. 45. Never mind I can at least drive again. Appointment went ok and I am now going next week to the Workshop which is another class which concentrates on strength more than movement. anyway that's enough of that.
Afterwards I did some shopping in Sainsburys to tied me over til Thursday then met my 2 regular Tuesday friends for lunch. We had a good laugh together then on my way home I called another branch of Sainsburys (just can't keep away) and spend another £16 on a top and some knee high socks.
Then home and another tidying up session.
Tomorrow it's Hair cut and Blow Dry then I'm going to school because I didn't go yesterday cos I wasn't sure how my eye would be.
I've been with Alison for many years and she knows just what suits me. She also plucks my eyebrows every time I go. She isn't a beautician, she's just kind.
It's rained all day here - really dismal. I thought it was going to be really cold according to forecasts. I must have got it wrong.
Anyway I hope you all have a good night. See yer ater 'gater(s)
An early oight, oight from me. I am going to fall asleep on the sofa until Mr LL returns. I have finished the back of my knitted waistcoat. 32" long!!

No more knitting tonight.

xx
note to self: If you are going to refinish furniture for fun, don't choose a barley sugar twist gateleg table.
am getting fed up with being sinussy. The forecast for tomorrow morning is filthy weather again (severe warning) so have dosed myself to the eyeballs. Once its worked, i'm off to bed.

I must have been knitting in synch with you Lofty !
I've at last finished one wristwarmer .I had to pull it out half way because I mucked up the cable pattern .
Looks as if we are in for some wild wet and windy weather folks according to the news .Batten down the hatches .Oight Oight ,sleep toight .
Morning ...I won't say good because it's utter crip, dark and piddlin' down. The met office are beyond rubbish, they were saying at the weekend that today was going to be wall to wall sunshine. Who pays for them, isn't it a government thing? Well they could save millions and get rid...employ farmer Bill and his bit of string to tell us. I knew an old chap who was so accurate it was uncanny.

Woofy I've got a dressing table with barley twist mirror supports and I've pictured it done up many times. And the table here behind me, it needs the pine top gently sanding and sealing and the chunky turned (is that what you call them?) legs, I'd like painted.

omg! just done a search...it's exactly like this, but, imo, even better condition, they legs are nicely polished. And I thought they were worthless.

Utter crip here too Biddies, grey dark and raining, the likes of which I haven't seen for years!

Show was good last night, pjproby held my wrinkly hand, but Gerry of the pacemakers was rushed to hospital at 4pm cos his internal staples from his heart by-pass had come out, and also Chip Hawkes was undergoing chemo, so Steve Ellis from Love affair filled in and very good he weas too. Old PJ sang a lot more to fill in and he was amazing considering he's 74yrs old, he had to sit for one song. A couple of bros chatted to sis and me all very nice and correct and we had a laugh, I think they chatted to us cos we were the youngest there!!

Off to buy a box for me to export, laters>>>>>
And did PJ rip his pants too Neti!!!? Glad you unjoyed it. And poor Gerry................... :o(

Robi, I want your table please!! It's just up my street. My house is full of old furniture. One thing we have never done is buy new stuff, except for beds and sofas. Either junk shop finds or hand me downs, and and a handmade pine kitchen table and benches lovingly made by Mr LL's father in the 60's. I'm afraid new furniture doesn't rock my boat and ain't it expensive!!!!

Grim here today too and I am out lunching again with another friend to a local country pub. Haven't got together for a good few months so will be nice. Would like to meet up in Noriwch with my friends who live further afield but don't think I could manage the walking involved? Hopefully, things might improve by the time good weather comes round again.

Am also out lunching on Friday. A busy week - probably followed by weeks and weeks of not going out at all!!

Oh, and good morning.

xx
'unjoyed'. New word!! Opposite of enjoyed perhaps. (I meant enjoyed)
blimey Robi, maybe I shouldn't have slapped sticks anything to anything undercoat and aqua emulsion all over mine....its smaller than that but in nicer nick. Oh well its done now, Sis and I are going to stamp on the top to make a border and the same on the chest of drawers but this wet orrible weather has slowed down the drying rate of the paint.
The bad weather has gone over here but we had a wet noisy night of it. Neti is there anywhere you can go and not get chatted up???????
still sinussy, bored with it now......
pretty black here too. There's a man working on the roof but I shouldn't think he's there today. Looks like it'll be fine tomorrow, though, and we're going to Oxfordshire to see a friend who's bought a thatched-roof cottage. Cheap biddy train tickets already purchased and all.
not big enough Lottie........
