I have bought a rather nice writing slope on ebay, however the lock doesn't work at all. Its quite easy to remove though and in fact I suspect that its not the original one anyway. I've hunted around but the only supplier of replacements I could find is in america and the p and p is huge.

Does anyone know of a UK supplier of writing slope (wooden box) locks please? Either new or old but they must work and come with a key.

Yes woofy we can also do online apps but I thought I'd get an earlier one if I went to surgery, not so, its a day later!
Also received 5 more Xmas cards in the post, all posted on 11 dec or earlier!
Shopping done. Very kind of the weather to stop raining and the sun to shine for me but it's gone again now. Bargain du jour - little cheddar Christmas trees, 50p for 150g pkt. I don't care what shape my chs is :)

haha jno....when I call the surgery I think a warning pop up appears "Refuse this patient at your peril".
Neti no wonder it's nippy, you hhaven't got any clothes on below the waist. Can't you see what's going on below your bazooms? :)
Well Robi when one has good legs one has to show them. Silly woman, of course I was wearing jeans.

I am back. Teeth will last me a month or two longer. Dogs were fine. Its cold here so I had hot lunch. Dogs are now asleep.
Afternoon all. My tree men are here cutting them along the bottom fence. They are really tall lilac trees which started out as little bushes in about 1966. They were ever so tall and they are being cut down to just above my six foot fence.
About Drs. Mine rang me last night at 7. My phone appointment was supposed to be 11 in the morning. Anyway I've had to collect a lung X-ray form and an echocardiogram form. He say the echo thingy is because on my last X-ray in August it showed my aorta as slightly thicker or something. Anyway my appointment isn't until February 16th so hopeful it's not too bad. Also I have now got an appointment to see Carlos the wrist man on the 15th Feb so I might as well stay the night. Oh no I won't I've just thought the X-ray is at a different hospital. The one where I started going to when I was 9 years old when I had to have my left Eyed squint sorted. That took 2 weeks and nowadays they do it in a day. That hospital is now being pulled down but is still partly used. It was a lovely Victorian building I'll try and find a photo for you. You might agree with me Robi.
Well the rain looks like it's going to come again in a while hopefully when my tree men have finished.

Foot ball tonight Come on You Rams.... We have Man U in the next round of the cup at a the Ipro Stadium . Looking forward to that one.

See ya later.

Well I do like to have an accurate image of you (all) in my mind neti.

Don't worry Jude I'm sure they'd have moved a lot faster if there'd been a serious problem with your heart. That's not a bad wait for an echo actually, mine were a lot longer. It was one dept though where it was always worth ringing to see if there were any cancellations, I got in early twice that way. Not sure if you can still ring direct though, it's all this go through the booking system malarkey. It's worth a try if you're worried.
Yes, I'm very sad to see the old DRI go. I remember going to the end of the ward to watch people going by on the main road and doing normal, boring, everyday stuff...and wondering if I'd ever do that again.
goodness, is that a hospital? It looks like a Granada cinema

Not at all surprised Robi. Me and the dogs are going to enjoy two days of doing naffity all and eating too much to make up for the bad weather and fireworks and general stupidity of the last few days.
Enjoy it woofy.
Thanks to The Chase I learned a new word tonight.... :)

I can't believe what Mousey did. She came in from outside and I was washing up. She walked around the house and then backed up to the cooker looked at me and peed! Her poo box was still outside cos I never bring it in until the evening. Anyway it's all been bleached, vinegar education, and mopped so hopefully got it all and it won't smell! Old women and cats who'd have 'em eh?
Vinegar education, now that's a new one! Should be vinegared.
Hi all
I'm doing naffity all as well.Leg still bloomin' painful and the antibiotics are making me feel awful but I won't bore you with it all.
Watched a lot of catch up teevee today and Michael Portillo was in Eastbourne yesterday Neti ,so I thought of you .
Apparently there was a saying there back in the day when the Victorians used it as a watering hole."Don't go east of the pier dear " because that's where all the riff raff lived .And on the three tiered prom the riff raff had to use the bottom one .It was very interesting .
Hope you're all as well as .They'd have whipped you in pdq Jude if they thought it was anything serious .Take it easy, although I know it's difficult for you :))
Don't forget Lucy in Russia is on tomorrow .My life seems to revolve around the teevee ,sofa and surgery lately.
Night all.

Morning all.
Yes luckily we watched the Eastbourne one. I would have thought west was the riff raff well it is these days. I noticed it was recent as the pier had been burnt down. I do enjoy his programmes. I've never been to the hidden fort at Newhaven but sister has. Will make a point of it when I next go home.
Temps have dropped to 6° front 14° which may not be cold to you lot but it's noticeable here!
Poor shaney with the leg.
And hoping all others/lovers/mothers (should cover you all) are well and happy

Bordid...yes, I've got another bad throat and snotty nose, had no sleep. It's going to be a naffity day here too. Maybe the yarn I ordered nine days ago will arrive. I may be a mother but no one will want to be my lover today...or probably any day....so I guess I'm 'other'.

KBO all. x
