Does anyone have one of THESE or something similar? I need something light to tidy up plants & the smaller shrubs - I get a man in for the big stuff! :o) I wondered if it will only cut very soft new growth or if it would also be handy to cut down perennials that might be a bit woody?

poor old Pickle...we must have seen his post at the same time Kit....I hope he's better soon.

lovely peaceful place on the vid...youtube's very slooow loading tonight so you've been spared some George Michael :o)

good morning from the lazar house!
DH has come down with a stomach upset so has gone back to bed via the loo (twice) Luckily I stocked up on loo roll yesterday
Its grey and raining here (finally) hooray, the last few days have been heavy and threatening and very headachey. dogs seem content to lay around and watch the rain so we will take them out later.

So sorry to hear about IAP, I have left a message on the thread
Not sure about posting a pic, Kit....don't want to terrorise the natives but there is one floating around on the net which I will find for you if you are feeling brave...oh oh getting low bat warning so will post quick
later babes and dudes!
Hi friends, absent friends and absentminded friends (that should cover it.) Have any of you seen if Pickle has opened a new thread in some other category today? I don't wander about the AB too much, just saw his post in the panel yesterday.

Do post that photo Woofy. Just think, if you had, you could have had your cut-and-pasted mug on this commercial ad...

As you said Robinia YouTube's was feeling poorly yesterday but some lads in the park were singing snaps-ditties, Purple Rain and Eight Days A Week so I had my music fix anyway. And btw George Michael would have been fine with me, his double CD Ladies And Gentlemen is a gem and as for this it's second only to Nina's version and that's saying a lot.

Hope your yesterday was okay Vinny.

Can someone point me to Pickles's post please.
Found it, but in all seriousness, Pickle posts these things once in a while when he's being a drama queen, it's not the first time and last time it was proven to be false, so he'll be OK. It's his partner I feel sorry for, he does everything for pickle literally with no thanks or praise.
LOL@Neti - you go girl, kick'em when they're down and stab'em in the back for good measure. Pickle if you read this please take our Neti up on her suggestion to meet in August - perhaps you could teach her some manners 'cos over here we're failing badly. Please Pickle also tell her that her prices are a rip-off Go stand in the same naughty corner where Robinia put Vinny the other day, Neti (but keep your hands off each other!)

Off out into the brewing storm or whatever it is that's going on with the weather today.
Listen Kit, I have met pickle several times and I know he loves a drama, and it's usually his poor partner (who is gorgeous looking) who gets it in the neck. I have real sympathy for genuine people but have no truck with heartstring tuggers. I know he suffers from BiPolar and is an intelligent person but he gets bored at at home all day so tries to relieve his boredom. He did this several months ago moaning about being abandoned and left alone when I knew that his partner was actually taking him to London for a couple of days and seeing the top shows, so lost sympathy when I found that out. So am not heartless but don't suffer fools gladly. Have oodles of sympathy for his partner!!
Email for ya Neti.
....and just wait til I get my hands on him in August, shall say no more on the subject, except he can be a dear funny man also.

oh lordy neti's come over all Jeremy Kyle....the trouble on here is that we never know what's really real
of course I don't have any problems

well this weather's been enough to tip anyone over the edge today, it's not stopped persisting down...I bet the hippies are still waiting for the sun to rise.
I can't be doing with hysterics.I have enough of my own to cope with .I had a hysterical day with my aged aunt yesterday ,who decided she would like to go to Morrisons on the free bus they have laid on for us whilst they redo our local supermarket ...talk about a logistical nightmare !
It was like something out of Monty Python .My brother said he would take her in the car ..but no ..she insisted on going on the bus with me but my brother (who is also not in the best of health) had to follow in the car .I couldn't have coped with her alone round Morrisons ! My pins are nearly as dodgy as hers ...hahaha...anyway after dithering round the Deli and tutting at the tins we got her sorted !!
Poor old gal ,she just wanted a bus ride really !

My dear old mate is now a pile of ashes and her husband is left alone to cope with Parkinsons and no relatives whatsoever only his friends to support him.
i have been down in the dumps for a while now thinking about all this cr@p and how life treats you but it's no good dwelling ..is it ?
Who does that help ..nobody !
You could drive yourself potty if you cared too but it doesn't solve anything ..
I hope Pickle soon bucks up and pulls himself together .He has everything to live for unlike some poor bgrs .He has a loving partner and he should think of him and how it would affect him if he were to decide to end it all .
We all have dark days ..I am the original black dog merchant ...especially when the weather is grim as you all know :))

Anyhow ..to cheer us all up ..here are some lilies and geraniums from my garden ....

Hope all went well for you Vin on your sad day xx

What beautiful flowers shaney.

I guess I'm one of the lucky ones, nearly always happy, very rarely have a black mood (although daughter has caused the odd one!) Mr N has been known to suffer depression, but quite honestly, I gave him a good talking too, a boot up the a*se and he's been fine for the last 4 years. Of course, my being permanently happy could cause depression in the best of souls i fear!!!
I think we should all get on the Biddybus and take a trip to Pickle ,ply him with Gin ,cheese and sdns and the odd cstd ,followed by a seafood supper with jellied eels and sing him "My old man said follow the van " followed by .."You made me love you" and an encore of " The Gang that sang Heart of my Heart "......bless:))
ROTFLMAO at Neti again - okay maybe she does give good psychiatric boot after all - four years sounds like good results in any study! (Don't worry the rest of yous, Neti and I have no quarrel with each other.)

Beautiful flowers, Shaney. I know just what they're called: "Pink Flowers" and "White Flowers". Headmistress kindly taught me that principle and I'm sticking to it. / Is that the aunt who called you... oh now I've forgotten that word, it was something like "slap happy", "haberdashy"... I think you're probably right she wanted a bus ride, what a luxury it is to be free to hop on a bus. / [...] death, I don't like it at all, nor illness. Neti's boot up the ole *rse is what that Grim Reaper needs, the booter the better.

That's a good song Shaney first it was donald duck and now it's clark gable

good (?) evening....bloomin cold here...

well I have hysterics if I have to go on a bus - hate 'em now but I used to love sitting there daydreaming....bring back trolley buses... haha... nowt like a bit 'a whiplash on yer way to yer aunty's 'ouse.
I feel for your friend's husband shaney, he must wonder what will happen to him, I hope he gets lots of help & support. Chin up, you can't worry for the world - and they're lovely healthy flowers. I took quite a few pics recently but heaven knows where they are. This puta loves to whisk them off to some secret drawer, it must function by the motto 'never put all your eggs in one basket'. Well neighbouring baskets would be a help.
I've been sorting my own 'baskets' this afternoon...it took me the whole of disc 1 of G.M's Ladies and Gentlemen just to do one.

I could just do with watching a good ole b/w film...it's bl00dy footy on 2 channels followed by boxing!! grrrrr.... I think I'll box somebody if it's another day like this tomorrow, it's done nothing to make me rise above my pain of the day. Maybe we should all stand in line & boot each other up the ass.
oh booger it, I'll get the sticky tape out & go find myself a toyboy

I think I'll have an eighties night.....♫.....it's easy when you're big in Japan...♫
I remember that film Kit but the" You made me love you " song that I love was made way back before WW1 ....and written by James Monaco ..one of my Dad's old favourites ...
You made me love you I didn't wanna do it..I didn't wanna do it
You made me want you and all the time you knew it I guess you always knew it....you know you always knew it ....
You made me happy sometimes you made me glad
But there were times my darling you made me feel so bad.
and so on .....
Give me give me give me give me what I cry for
You know you''ve got the kind of kisses that I'd die for
You know you made me love you. ........doo be do be doo be doooo !!
Hahaha.....don't panic ..I may dig out some more garden pictures ..hehehe....because it's B. football again and again and again and again .. Robinia and I are about to to write to our MP about it ...whilst I argue the toss in Q&P ..oooh lawd .....somebody zoom me back to my Dansette

That was a good clip Shaney, liked it! / Yes but that is the very song your Dad loved - the Gable thing is just an intro, an excuse to sing it - watch the whole clip woman or I really can't help you ;-) / That footy is destroying my life too ha ha ha, no American Idol for the past two weeks, I miss naughty Simon. Saw a good movie tonight though on a sensible channel: Frida, with Salma Hayek and Alfred Molina, about Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera. It was really really good, see it if you haven't, and the music was sensational.

I want your a$$ over here in the garden first thing in the morning Vinny, we need to know you're doing alright don't you know.

from the frida film

<THUD> ....... Robi faints>

I've just been searching to see if a signed album (vinyl) I've got is worth anything...............guess who it's by?

Frida!!
Not Frida Kahlo though, ha ha...? But the spooky thing is, Robinia, I was just about to add a PS here, about Frida Kahlo getting more than a whiplash (as you mentioned earlier) while travelling on a trolley bus - do you think the biddies should perform together as The Synchronicity Sisters? And Vinny, he's good too.
Hell we can get rid of our broadband connections...! Telepathy is cheaper!
