Sorry LottieI didn't remember about the hernia, which obviously makes your diet more difficult to cope with. I still get a pain down my left side which is the one I got 4/5years ago when my ulcerated colitis started but Ive made up my mind if it gets worse I will obviously cut out the things in my diet which might irritate it until it feels better. I'm still on the tabs the Dr. gave me last Tuesday and have to go and see him this coming Tuesday to report and I have to admit nether region activity has been lot better since he upped the dose.
Oh white bread and potatos dies, that sounds me!

Woofy no idea what's happening, we are back to separate rooms as per, will see tomorrow how it goes. He never was the greatest talker in the world, but I am fed up with him going out after golf or at least the 19th hole and me being stuck here at home. The house is falling down and he does nothing, so he's had all that in his ear plus oodles more, I think he was surprised but I've held it in for ages.. But we will sleep in the same bed tonight!
dies??? diet!!
evening all, a sunny weekend in the deep south. Drinks last night in a nice Hotel du Vin, dinner somewhere I forget, brunch today in the Pantiles in Tunbridge Wells, a visit to a National Trust garden

late lunch at a country restaurant, and well, I'm home but don't really feel like dinner at the moment.

That was just by way of congratulating the happy couple but there will be a proper engagement party in a couple of weeks too - never had one of those myself, possibly because we didn't get engaged. Are you supposed to take presents for these things too, or just for the wedding? The wedding won't be for another year at least, thank goodness.
I love the Pantiles jno, but don't get there anymore, it was dead bro-in-law's favourite town and place to eat.

I remember about 35yrs ago Mr N and I were driving through France on our way to Spain, and stopped in a french town looking for somewhere to stay, saw this marvellous white building, Hotel du Ville, so tried to book in, it was the Town Hall!!!
so warm even with the air con so I've had a quick dip and laying here dripping wet, watching Law and Order.

Thanks for letting me moan, I won't keep on anymore, but we are sorting it one way or the other hopefully this week.

Just found this, this is the local shop where we did all our food shopping when I first arrived here in 1971. Met Diana Rigg herer. I'd just moved from Golders Green and the big waitrose to this, perfick!!
Neti, moan all you like, you have listened and sympathised often enough when I needed it. jno I didn't have an engagement party either. Of course in those days, we hadn't set up house together first so I got small bottom drawer stuff like egg cups and table mats, it all sound so fifties vintage now even though it was 1973!

I know I keep saying it but goodness its ot here.
As I said before I was invested a couple of years after we married.

Of course I had been engaged a few times formerly, but they were an announcement in the paper and a few drinks in the pub, and a few rings of course!! Maybe I should have married one of them!
Were you still on the ships when you got married woofy?
It was DH who worked at sea Neti, I travelled with him by virtue of being his wife. I left college in the July, got married at the end of August and we joined my first ship in New Orleans at the end of September. It was the first time I had ever flown anywhere or been further abroad than Europe.

This was the ship we sailed on

Ooooh, exciting Woofy.

I think I will mention to Mr LL that it's about time we got engaged! We decided to get married whilst inebriated in Spain. We weren't even a proper item as such, just two people that seemed to end up together quite a lot. We fought commitment - both of us. We have always argued like cat and dog. We always will - two very stubborn characters!! We married 6 weeks after that Spanish event on a Monday morning and he went back to work on night shifts at the airport on the Wednesday night.

He will always be the love of my life even though we hate each other sometimes. I think (hope) he feels the same.
Oight, oight. Chicken, chips and peas for dinner in the end!

xx
oight oight all
Morning all.

Ys lottie, I feel Mr N and I are like that.
Good morning all. I have a physio/pilates appointment near Holt at 11.00 and a physio appt. at the surgery locally this afternoon. I don't want to go to either, but I will! See you later.
Morning all. Lottie, fit in a water ice in the middle, you will feel loads better. Some fool set off fireworks at half past midnight last night so we didn't get settled till 2 am. I really would go round there with a baseball bat if I knew where it was.
Dh and I were both stubborn people, happily we agreed on almost everything so the stubbornness got turned outwards onto the world in general.

Morning all...looks like being a very warm one, yesterday wasn't too unbearable & I went on a short shopping spree (the best kind) with my sis in the afternoon. We went to look at Clarks sale...and yes, we bought some shoes, the same shoes actually, haha. I made a mistake earlier in the year with some Clarks black patent ballerinas, I should have bought a bigger size, they're a bit tight & I've never worn them :( but at the time it was cold weather & I hadn't bargained for my feet growing in the heat!
And oops! I seem to have bought a handbag...but it's a very practical small cross body black leather organiser to take shopping, something I've wanted for a while...I won't even need a purse. It was cheaper than a small Kipling anyway...speaking of which, Kip bags are on QVC today & many are reduced prices.
That's a very impressive first home woofy!

That looks a lovely place jno, I can't say of all the many functions my ex did as a dj I don't remember any engagement parties. We got engaged at xmas & went for a meal on our own. If you feel you have to buy something I'd just go for a small gift or a voucher for a shop they like.

Good luck Lottie...I've got to go and donate an armful of blood some day soon (fasting, ugh!) it's not that long since I went.

I'm a happy Shaney ,all my cupboards are back but it was a messy job. Lot's of sawing ,hammering and cursing :) Just have to fit a new plinth now .
I was engaged once but it didn't work out .He was a gambler and bit of a jack the lad .I saw the error of my ways after he clouted me while drunk and broke it off .Funnily enough I opened the local paper a couple of weeks ago to see that he had passed away .
Mr S and I never got engaged .We met in the May and six weeks later I went to Germany with him and we got married in the December .
Sorry about all the upset tums ...There are loads of things I can't eat these days .I'm off to the hairdressers ...be good .
