I've deiced to make a new thread so I'm having trouble at work I been getting 37.5 hours per week but bow said they havent got the budget to pay me overtime.I got 10 which is 2 hours per day which im not happy about. Before after my 2 week trial on the till they said they would give me my new contract I don't why they haven't unless because someone came back or after my probation. I'm also having trouble with a supervisor I don't think she likes me but she brought there have been issues with me scanning items wrong and they loosing stock. I don't feel respected.

· Build rapport with both customers and suppliers.
· Actively support customers in person, via the telephone or by email, including taking and processing orders.
· Where additional assistance is required, liaise with the Branch Manager.
· Work closely with the Transport Department, arranging deliveries and collection of goods, including any Inter Branch Transfers.
· Adopt a pro-active approach to every aspect of this role, attending to all customers’ needs in the timeliest, efficient and professional manner.
· Ensure that all Customers needs are addressed prior to closing a conversation. If the opportunity allows, aim to maximise a sale by suggesting other products that may be of interest or 'selling up', will benefit.
· Negotiate any potential orders, remaining mindful of maximising profit.
· Produce customer quotations, adhering to the required standards. This may involve pricing stock goods or sourcing any special items, which may require you to liaise with suppliers and manufacturers.
· Update the sales systems with all orders processed.

To be fair I also remember, like bednobs, in one of her previous jobs (somewhere like B&M or Wilko) she wasn't up to par for handling till work, card payments etc and was taken off it.. It was a few months ago. There is absolutely no point in encouraging abbey to go for jobs she's not capable of, it will just cause more stress and worry and another job change.
You've nothing to lose if you get the job as your present job is only 8 hours a week, so give it a go; but be prepared to find it challenging for a while and work extra hard, be extremely helpful and flexible and aim to impress to make sure you get through the probation. Save as much money as possible while working 40 hours in case it goes the same way as your recent jobs- which it could well do.
But of course there may be lots of applicants who have had more success in these types of roles.
I think you probably are better suited to packing or other non-customer-facing warehouse roles, so keep an eye open for any vacancies in those areas.
