I purchased 2 exhibition tickets (e tickets) for a make up show this weekend.
Unfortunately to a family bereavement I am unable to go. I emailed the company (make up mag) to advise them of the situation and asked about a possible refund.
They emailed me back and said they were unable to offer a refund. I have paid over £120 for these 2 tickets now and cannot be left out of pocket.
This has left me feeling very sad and stressed the fact of a tragic situation has also left me financially out of pocket when this company are going to be gaining me money.
Has anyone got any advice on what to do next? Heres the site if anyone wants to have a look over www.imatsshow.com/london/london_faq.php
unfortunately, you CAN be out of pocket. look at the website and tickets yourself for terms and conditions. if it says they are not refundable or returnable...then they aren't, i'm afraid. sorry about your loss x
I agree with pinki!..............try them on Ebay for a reduced price, at least you'll get something back!...........better than nothing!.........folk love a bargain!................
sorry about your loss pinkchick,
and sorry you werent able to sell the tickets on.
the company are just sticking to their terms and conditions, and even though we know your reason is genuine for not being able to go, i bet they get a few people telling porkies, offering that same 'story', if theyve been unable to attend or changed their minds, in hope a refund will be granted...
Yeh I totally understand the reason etc. I contacted them a few days ago to ask so it's not too short notice. I do hope they grant a refund because this week couldn't get any worse for me :-(
unless people are clamouring for tickets (which they obviously arent as your attempts to sell have proved) then a week is not really a long time for them to resell them...especially if the event has been sold out...and they dont want to be out of pocket either...
